Honestly, I am kinda sad that I have to leave a review to a place I've visited for the las 5yrs ever since I moved to this city. From welcoming and accommodating to everyone, it became far less then ok. Last Thursday, I stopped by to enjoy great coffee while getting some work done. Unfortunately, you can only have access to the internet no more than 2hrs. I normally stay longer than 2hrs which in the past would have encourage me to buy more food/drinks. The whole point of a coffee place is to relax and not feel rushed. It is disappointing to know that it has come down to limiting the pleasure of your customers. I understand you have become incredibly popular and busy but this approach it hurts those that have been loyal to you for a very long time. I am glad that the coffee shop next door is now avaliable. Highly recommend. No silly rules while they still encourage you to stay and come back. Perhaps you should take a look and review the basics of customer service.

We had a great experience at Coffee Underground. The atmosphere has a cool, laid-back vibe, and the staff was friendly and welcoming. My wife had the homemade farmer’s quiche, and I ordered the build-your-own breakfast sandwich on a croissant with provolone, scrambled egg, and spicy sausage — great flavor. For drinks, I had the Hot Frog latte and she had the plain latte; both were excellent. Awesome food, great coffee, and a place we’d definitely come back to.

Ever since I was a child beans were never my jam. As I’ve matured my food palette has grown, as one would assume. Today I wanted to step out of my comfort zone, daring I would say. I tried the black bean quesadilla. Let me tell you the black bean quesadilla is absolutely amazing. Will 100% be ordering the black bean quesadilla again in the near future.

Coffee on the ground used to be a great place. I think it’s gone a little downhill since then. Overcrowded and food is not as good as it used to be.

This is a quaint and charming coffee shop downstairs below street level. They have a good selection of coffees, pastries, breakfast sandwiches and other items. There’s plenty of indoor seating. The breakfast sandwich on cheddar biscuit was delicious, and the lattes were excellent.

Super disappointed with the coffee. Burnt so much I ended up throwing the cup away after a few sips. Heard a lot about how good this coffee was but unfortunately it is not good coffee.
Hot chocolates were fine but nothing special.

Stopped in for coffee around 7 pm on Sunday December 21, 2025 was told that 2 employees had just went on break and they could not make any beverages for 30 minutes. This would never happen at any other small coffee shop I know of! Get it together. Will not be going back after this experience and used always love this stop downtown.
