Everything we've had here has always been out of this world, along with the service, the lady who took our order has been so helpful every time we've come in & absolutely the sweetest.
I'm big on al pastor and theirs is juicy, tender, and the flavor is out of this world, so much that my husband only wants al pastor from there.
We got the cucumber salad appetizer and it is perfectly salty, flavored, and has a smidge of heat. I asked for a side of onions and cilantro and it was so fresh tasting.
I normally get the al pastor quesadilla but I decided to try the mulita with Al pastor and it was the best decision ever, I thought I loved the quesadilla but the Mulita has stolen my heart.
As an Arizona native, they have some of the best Mexican food in the upstate!

I've been in search of a taco joint just like this since moving from Asheville, NC. Missed Taco Temple! This... might be better. Breakfast tacos were on point! Their hottest sauce hits all the right notes. Great food at great prices. Can't wait to try the rest of the menu!

Great spot with great food. The inside of the building is kind of mundane but the food is awesome.

Comal 864 is the place to go if you want an authentic, delicious meal. I had the Birria Grilled Cheese and it was devine. You can really tell that the food is made with love. Dayna and team really have outdone themselves.
And as a tequila lover, Graham made me the most delicious Oaxacan Old Fashion I’ve ever had. 10/10 stars, will be back FOR SURE!

Pass next time. We had great interactions with the staff, but the food was not good. We didn't like the chips, the quesadilla, not the tacos. The chips were sweet. The quesadilla had an unreasonable mount of cheese - not a good ratio to the other ingredients. The soft tacos were hard and had an unusual flavor that I couldn't pinpoint.
Great breakfast cooked to order.

I was really excited about Comal 864, but was disappointed. It’s counter service, not sit-down, which is fine, except we waited 20 minutes just to order when there was only 3 parties ahead of us. After ordering, I was disappointed to find the “queso” was just nacho cheese(like the kind you’d get at a carnival), and the chips were stale. The salsa was fine, not the best, but not the worst. We asked for more chips(they give you about a dozen INDIVIDUAL chips), and the staff member forgot about it until about 30 minutes after we asked. On the topic of waiting, after we sat down, it took 30+ minutes to bring our food, making the total wait almost an hour for a counter-service restaurant. The food was decent, but we were a little disappointed considering people told us it was the best in Greenville. Atmosphere was horrible, plain concrete walls and wires everywhere. We probably won’t be back to comal.

The atmosphere is a little stale and "poor" for my taste, but the food is fantastic!

I had the Birria Grilled Cheese and my partner had the Birria Ramen. Both dishes were so delicious, so flavorful, and amazing that all we could do is smile and nod to each other while we ate. 10/10 would recommend.

The al pastor tacos are you what bring me back time and time again, sometimes even twice a week. The food is consistent and authentic. The service is efficient and friendly. Two tacos al pastor are less than $8 and the portions are a bang for your buck. I’ve had many menu items but Comal’s al pastor is one of if not the best in town.
The atmosphere needs work. I’ve visited Comal 864 so many times, and the majority of times, the drink station to the garbage station to the tables, are unkempt and disorderly. Understandably though because every visit I have had, they seem to be understaffed with one cashier taking orders, bagging to go and walking food to tables.

Great place for Mexican and some good beer or great margaritas! Fantastic new place, much larger than their other location. Staff is incredibly friendly, and the service was excellent! Thanks again, guys!
