Really average Italian food. Nothing special at all. I've tried it twice now and not planning to go back.
Spring was incredibly rude. We asked for lemonade for our daughter and they said they would make handmade lemonade at the bar. 10 mins later we are given a cup of sour mix from the bar. Just say you don't have it. Our drinks were empty most of the time and the server acted rude when we ordered. Food was decent. Other guests were extremely loud and rude. The price is ridiculous for what you get. Won't be back
A unique dining experience. We had the Red Grouper that was delicious. Atmosphere and service were amazing.
First time trying this restaurant. Let me just say, the waiter we had was the best. Phi, was truly the nicest person. He was outstanding and knowledgeable. The food was good. My husband enjoyed the oyster stew, sea bass and crab cake. I enjoyed the wedge salad, sea bass and crab cake. The mango sorbet is delicious. The cheesecake is good, but would be better with a syrup or compote. Don't know if we will be back and if we are I will chose a day that maybe isn't as busy.
Food, atmosphere and service were all excellent. A little pricey, so I will only be returning for special occasions
Wonderful, small environment, homey, great music to accompany the great Italian cuisine, the owner stopped and spoke to every table! We were running 10 minutes late and called and all was well. Also, it is easy to see that Davani has had a professional hospitality manager on staff because of how fluid everything ran. Very professionally run, rules of reservation, size of food which was so so filling, the layout of the dining area and the temperature of the food. Very well done from a fellow business owner!! Bravo!! Squisito!!
Severely overpriced. It’s in a strip mall. Food was mediocre at best.
Fee, our server was very knowledgeable about wines and anticipated our needs often before we did, but did not interrupt our meal or conversation at any time. The owners both were vigilant in making sure the whole operation was running smoothly and both personally asked about the experience afterwards. The food was prepared wonderfully and they had a wide variety of seasonal options available in addition to their standard menu items. I spent two hours here and it hardly felt long enough. This is my new special occasion destination!

I've been to Davani's many times and have had a great experience each visit. Davani's accomplishes what many restaurants claim to offer but never deliver on, a feeling of "when you're here, you're family."
Last night I had dinner with my mother in law and brother and we loved everything we ordered. The calamari was perfectly fried and well seasoned. I had the veal parmigiana—it was amazing.
I could go on and on about the food, but the ambiance is also a major selling point of the restaurant. The lighting is dim but not too dim, great music, and our server was very welcoming and accommodating.
I highly recommend Davani's.

We enjoyed a lovely dinner with outstanding service and delicious food. Our server was professional, informative, and non-intrusive. I had the fish special which was a delicate Pompano filet served over risotto with a champagne lemon sauce which was amazing! My husband enjoyed the pasta in marinara sauce with vegetables which, while sounds ordinary, was anything but. The hostess was warm and attentive as well.
Had dinner here with MIL who has lived in GVL for 5 years and had never been to this place even though it's only 5 min from her home. Rave reviews--everything we had was delicious! We have a 6 month old and it isn't the kind of place I'd suggest taking a baby, but she does go everywhere. They parked us in the back of a separate room where the stroller wouldn't be in the way, she wouldn't disturb other diners if there was an unexpected meltdown, and we really appreciated that.
Our server Tyler was excellent. When we couldn't make decisions, he made suggestions. Service never suffered even with us being seated in probably the most remote area of the restaurant.
For apps, we had calamari and oysters Rockefeller-both good. For entrees, we had the Wagyu meatballs, chicken fettuccine Alfredo, and salmon. Husband was not impressed with the meatballs, but fettuccini and salmon were very good! We got tiramisu to go and it was kind of underwhelming--they put whipped cream and sliced strawberries on it (never seen that on tiramisu) and the portion was pretty small.
We spent over $300 including tip. The atmosphere and service made up for the "meh" on some dishes. MIL will definitely return and tell others about Davani's and we hope to visit and try some other things next time we're in GVL.
