Was in the area and stopped in at lunch, I havnt been in a while the place is very clean and remodeled the staff was super helpful I ordered potatoe soup and a pbj the soup delicious overall super satisfied with Duke definitely come check them out!

We stop by dukes sandwich company on a trip from Myrtle beach to gatlinburg tenn.around 2:00pm. we went through Greenville just to get a pepper and onion sandwiches. The girl told us the dining room was closed. It was ok because we still had driving time ahead of us. My wife got ham. I got two pepper and onion sandwiches and didn’t open them until we got up the road a little. They were 5 minutes old with us. My sandwiches both of them were wet. Soggy bread. Worst ever. Didn’t eat them. My wife’s ham sandwich had the smallest piece of ham I ever seen, but hers was not soggy. The cost was over 14 dollars. Now I was born in Greenville and my mom use to go to dukes all the time. I can’t waste money. Lost my business. The quality is gone.

I came 20 minutes before closing, so they didn’t have the toaster on. That I can understand. The menu had no clear options on it, I figured it would be like a deli but no, it was more based on the spreads which they didn’t even list. I ordered from one of the three things they had and it came in a plastic sealed bag cold. On top of that, it was the wrong thing. The cashier (the girl with the eye piercing) was very rude. Also, 3pm is such a weird time to close on a Tuesday. I normally never leave bad reviews, and I know I sound like a Karen, but I was very disappointed because I was looking forward to trying this local joint.

The PBJ is more of a half-inch thick peanut butter and no other real taste of any jelly, honey, or whatever they use. It needs a little less of the Peanut butter and a little more jelly. Very clean. A little pricey for just a basic sandwich. Better for the other type ir Ham, Pepper and onion for $3.50.

I usually have a great experience at dukes. Today 3/18/2024 I did not. They close at 3:00 everyday. I showed up at 2:30. The woman looked at me as though she could kill me. Literally. So she snatched my money out of my hand and then rolled her eyes. In other words not a very decent experience. It sucks though. Duke's is a staple of the south. I hate to not come back. I guess I'll have to decide that later.
