These are the hardest working sub slingers on Haywood Rd!!
FOOD> I can't remember which sub I choose (they're all fantastic) and accompanied by that crisp pickle. One thing is for sure - it was fresh, hearty and ABSOLUTELY DELICIOUS!! I often pair it with an indulgence of chips and a self serve sweet tea which makes refills easy
There was something really special about the sweetness of the ham that made it extra mouth watering
The portion size was so generous that I had to ask for a box to take half home and it made an extra meal!!
SERVICE> No matter how busy they were, they were kind and courteous
ATMOSPHERE> the shop was full of people and the decor is tried and true to the brand of heroes that tirelessly serve
I can't help coming back again and again to the Firehouse!

We always order takeout from here. I heard on an advertisement that they now have fries. I was so excited to try them. They are absolutely delicious!! My husband always gets the medium Italian and I get the small Hook & Ladder, both on wheat. We are never disappointed with the food. However, sometimes it's difficult when calling in. Sometimes it takes many calls until they answer.
I accidentally ordered my sub backwards on Saturday night. Onion and mustard only instead of no onion and mustard. When I went in to explain he immediately offered to remake it. He was extremely friendly and did not even get frustrated that it was almost closing time. Excellent customer service. As a manager at a restaurant myself I was very impressed! Thank you!!

Look elsewhere for a good meal. We had a simple order of three sandwiches; however, two of the three or not the ones we ordered. As we didn't check until we got home, a poor experience. The order was about $45!

Avoid this place, this was my 1st time coming to this Firehouse I normally go to Greer location and I promise I will not be back to this Firehouse, so apparently this location decided to put in the order kiosks for you to do their job for them so they will have more time on their phones and talking to each other, So when I ask if they could just take our order the guy behind the counter said NO we had to do it, so 1st of all let me make sure I understand, they went up on their prices but I have to put in my order? No thank you and I will not be back If the other locations do this I will make Jersey Mikes my go-to, , so to make it even worse after we ate a guy walked up to the counter and the girl at the counter took his order?? WTH, so they pick and choose who's order they take?
If I drop over 30 bucks for a couple of Subs the least they can do is punch it in the computer, then it has the nerve to ask for a tip? Here is a tip, get those damn kiosks out and get better employees,
Randy..

By far the worst fire house I’ve ever been to. This sub was so bad that I had to come on here and make a review. Mind you this is my first review I’ve ever written. I don’t know how they messed up this sub so bad when I was the only person in the restaurant and they had 5 employees sitting around.

I usually go to the Firehouse Subs on Woodruff Road and have always had a great experience there — friendly service and consistently delicious food. Unfortunately, my visit to the Haywood Road location was the complete opposite.
I had placed a takeout order and walked up to the counter to add fries. The woman at the register — wearing glasses and handling money — never looked up or acknowledged me. Even after standing there for a while, she just kept counting cash. Two other employees behind the counter saw me but didn’t step in, likely assuming she was the one in charge.
When she finally did look at me, she didn’t greet me, smile, or offer any kind of welcome. Her tone was cold and dismissive, like I was inconveniencing her just by being there.
While I waited for my food, she whispered to another employee, and they both repeatedly looked at me and laughed. I can’t say exactly what was being said, but it felt incredibly unprofessional and uncomfortable. On top of that, she kept giving me dirty looks. The entire vibe was hostile and rude.
To make matters worse, the sub I ordered — which I’ve gotten many times from the Woodruff Road location and loved — was sloppy and soggy. The bread tasted stale, and it was drenched in sauce to the point of being inedible.
I don’t usually leave reviews, but this experience stood out in the worst way. I hope management takes a serious look at what’s going on here, because this is not the standard I’ve come to expect from Firehouse Subs.
Great subs!
