First time we went, the moment you walk in the door you are given great attention by staff! We didn't know what to order and the waiter reminded us the menu changes twice daily, while that happens, he had great notes and recommendations to lead for a great meal choice. Our waiter - forgot his name- did an amazing job of taking care of us (he had yellow glasses, bald headed, and a mustache). I had the soft shell crab dish - never had soft shell crab; YUM! The Brussel sprouts were served with an amazing paprika aioli, and the steak my wife had was huge and cooked to perfection. The food was so fresh and the menu selections were amazing. We loved the vibe in the restaurant and it was comfortable for a family, a couple, shorts/blue jeans, or PROM ATTIRE (a few prom dates were there)...
I went with a group of eight. Our waitress was very friendly and attentive. Everyone enjoyed their meal. I had the soft shell crab. It was delicious. Fork and Plough is one of our favorite restaurants.
Fork and Plough NEVER disappoints. Food is amazing, huge portions and staff are so wonderful! Plan to share or enjoy leftovers!!
The noise level made it difficult to carry on a conversation. All hardscape. It might be this old guy who probably needs hearing aids.
Great late-afternoon meal with family visiting from out of town. Tried a wide variety of things from the menu and everything was delicious. Wished we had room for dessert (all the choices looked delicious too) but we were pleasantly stuffed before then. Wonderful service and very pleasant experience all around.
Always fresh, delicious food! Enjoyed the brunch for the 1st time and had the Soft Shelled Crabs Benedict. So yummy! The service was excellent! Make a reservation!
We live close by and thought this would be our go-to date night spot. The concept is so intriguing and the ambiance is so nice. But it has really disappointed in terms of flavor and value. I have seen other reviews mention a lack of seasoning. Maybe they read those and decided to go too far in the other direction. We've been here three times and the latest time our food was so highly salted that I could barely stomach it. The vegetable plate is really hard to eat and spicy. And even when we get a decent plate of food, which maybe we've had once?, it just doesn't deliver the value that you pay for it.
I would highly recommend getting the pre-made chicken pot pie to cook at home - it is quite good! They have perfected that and it's perfect for busy days or meal trains. We also enjoyed their bread appetizer and their cocktails. Still have yet to try their brunch...maybe one day!
Would not get sit-down lunch or dinner there again though. Much prefer the food and experience for a date night at Mr. Crisp down the street for similar prices.

Loved the interior and atmosphere.
Moscow mule was okay but not great. We really enjoyed the Rebel Rabbit hard seltzer. My friend got some sort of vodka pomegranate cocktail that was very good.
The Brussels sprouts were the highlight from our appetizers. Perfectly done and a good sized portion. The chicken wings were just okay and could have used a high temperature bake/broil for more crispness.
I got the shiitake mushroom cheeseburger, which was cooked medium just as I’d ordered and very yummy. French fries were fresh. Husband had the dry aged pork, which I thought had too strong of an oregano/rosemary seasoning but he enjoyed. I loved the sweet potato succotash that came with his pork, so good. Friends got the veggie plate with crab cakes and the trout dish. All of the entrees were delicious.
We split the bread pudding and coconut cake for desserts. The bread pudding was good according to my husband. But the coconut cake was dry, not very good.
Our server was excellent and friendly, not around too much but just enough.
Overall we really enjoyed the food and will return.

I had a taste for a pork chop and this resturant came up as being a good place to go when I did a search. Unfortunately, that did not prove true. Our server was Matt nice and helpful worth the menu. We order appetizers which was their bread and lobster bisque. The bread felt stale like it had been just sitting out on a counter and the bisque was average at best. I order the grilled pork chop with potatoes and collard greens when my food came there were asparagus on the plate instead of collards and the potatoes were lukewarm. But the biggest issue was the pork chop a quarter of the the top was black and the bottom was was so burnt that when I took a bite it was totally bitter. I called Matt and sent the pork chop back and just kept the veggies. I mention to Matt how disappointed I was with the food especially when the pork was the main reason we came. He said he was going to get the manager and only came back long enough to offer a free dessert. As we checked out I questioned where the manager was and was told she was not there. Needless to say this was our first and last visit.

My boyfriend and I are here on 2/17 for the first time and we will not be going back. First they brought our dinner out around 3 minutes after our appetizer. The temp in my broccoli was so uneven and unflavored. Literally one bite would contain hot and cool pieces. The mahi mahi was dry and needed a sauce and once again barely any flavor. Our service was okay. Our water ran out and was never refilled. But the bar drinks were good. As we were leaving we didn’t even get a goodbye or thanks for coming. We were totally ignored. I expected better because of the reviews and honestly I didn’t want to write a bad review but we spent over 100 dollars for mediocre bland food that we didn’t even finish.

Stopped in for lunch and was seated outside on the patio. We ordered fried chicken, drinks and a mixed berry salad. The fried chicken was probably the crunchiest breading I have ever eaten. The mac and cheese that came with it was cold. The salad dressing was very acidic and poorly paired with the cheese and berries. The drinks lacked flavor. I would say overall it is a bit overpriced for the quality of food and drinks. I would put the quality on par with what I have had at a diner. Also be on the look out for calculating tip. They suggest a tip based on the total including the tax.

Good food. We sat out in the converted porch and in the winter it was quite cold. The door was basically open half the time with all the people coming in.
Service was fairly slow. Also I had to correct the server who gave me the wrong bill.

A great place for lunch. Easy to please a number of tastes. Attentive service & never feel rushed to turn the table. A very neighborhood, comfortable feeling place. There is also a decent size offering of market goods, meats, refrigerated items, fresh breads, take out meals, etc. The calamari, burger & the lemon dessert are not to be missed! (Among other things)

Wanted to try this place but ultimately ended up disappointed. Went the day after Valentines Day and they offered a limited menu which we weren’t real crazy about. For the price of the meals, the atmosphere just isn’t impressive. Worst of all, my husband got the lobster and crab for his meal. No butter accompanied the dish so we were charged for a tiny ramekin of butter when we asked for it. Then, he barely touched his lobster as it was too rubbery and tasteless. He told the waitress about his meal and she said she would tell the manager. No manager came to visit, no discount on the dinner, nothing. Won’t be back. There are better restaurants nearby that are worth those prices.

This was our first time here. We heard mixed reviews about the place but definitely wanted to have our own experience. This was restaurant week and thought it would be a good time to go. For a Monday it was quite busy, I was surprised how casual it was, as I had the impression based on looking at the menu and pricing it would be a tad more upscale. Our server was pleasant but seemed as if she was one table away from being overwhelmed. Throughout the meal she never checked back in unless she was bringing something to the table and needed to be reminded of a Diet Coke, but never refilled it. I thought they would have a restaurant week menu and a normal menu but they did not. Which was fine. We were a party of 5 and we all got something a little different and tasted each other’s food. The portions were very generous. Pork Belly was good, but the sauce/pimento cheese it was in was odd. Fried green tomatoes were tasteless. Salads were big enough to share. Brussels were slightly blackened, which I like but no seasoning. The sauce that was accompanying it felt like an afterthought and wasn’t even enough to really taste. Catfish and grits dish, was super fishy. The Marsala was so drowned in a thick gravy it’s hard to say what was going on and if the dry chicken had any other flavor then gravy. Short rib was cooked to perfection. Sliced bread was the best thing on the menu; no kidding it was delicious. Torte was also scrumptious! Saved the best part for last….the mushroom Swiss burger. Ok, comes out and first there are no mushrooms on the burger. Second when I took the bun off the top and tried to cut it in half, I was instantly flooded with childhood memories of my dad at a charcoal grill overcooking burgers until they were at Hockey puck stage. This one was on a fancier bun. As I told the waitress she said give her a moment. Went and took someone else’s order, came and got my plate and as the rest of my party ate waited 15 minutes until a new burger arrived. No manager or anyone came to offer an apology or say anything about it. The new burger had mushrooms and some juices seeping out as I cut it. Unfortunately, the chef must have implemented revenge on this burger as the salt/garlic salt was so Potent that the Sahara desert took form right there in my mouth. Thank goodness there was water on the table but no extra Diet Coke to be seen. Would I try again? I don’t know. Definitely over priced for meals that should be upscale chef ready. I am a self made cook and though I don’t know everything, I do know that Don’t cover meat and items with sauce unless You’re featuring the sauce and not the meat. Scale back and find you Niche seems as if you’ve lost your way. Also I don’t need you to respond and tell me that you’re sorry I didn’t have a good experience.
