Gray Moon Breakfast and Brunch

I visited this place for the 2nd time on yesterday, January 10. My first visit was on a Friday and everything was great! Food and drink were good. My visit on yesterday was not. Upon arrival, I was not greeted. I waited about 10 minutes before anyone acknowledged me and they were not packed at all. There was a total of 3 people in my party and we were seated at huge table that was filthy. We sat at the table for about 15 mins before the host asked if we had been helped. I only saw 1 waitress and she walked passed our table several times and didn’t say a word. There were a total of 7 tables being occupied, including us. The owner walked by and noticed that we didn’t have any drinks. He asked had we been helped and how long we were waiting. We advised him and he went and got our drinks! They no longer have bar( had we known ahead of time, we would’ve left). 2 of the ladies in my party ordered waffles but the waffle machine was broken. Our food did come out hot and fast butttt but we got our food way before the 3 tables that was seated before us. My cousin never got part of her order, I ordered plain eggs but mine came out with cheese. The pancakes were thick but good and they gave us each a small container of syrup that was not even half way filled! I would give the food a 9/10 bc it came out fast and hot but my eggs were wrong. Service gets a 1/10, only Because the host was nice. We did not leave a tip at all bc technically nobody waited on us or checked on us throughout the meal. This place has so much potential and my first experience was awesome. We love to support black owned establishments! Please please do better!!! I want y’all to win but with service like that you will not!

Food is sooo good it will make you want to smack your grandma. Absolute FIRE!! They prepared a special pancake for my son that he LOVED. He said it was the best pancake he has ever had!!! Don’t sleep on this spot!!!

Looked for a new breakfast spot this Sunday and found this nice place on Congaree Rd near Haywood Mall - great place for brunch

This was SOOOO good and the staff was so friendly. The manager even came over to say hey. I got the wings and cakes and it both were super crispy. The pancakes didn’t even need much syrup, that’s how good they were on their own, and the perfect texture. I really hope they do wings for dinner as well because I can’t wait to come back and get them for dinner!

The perfect Brunch date spot with the hubby. The food was equaled by the service and atmosphere. Tysheria, our server, was so sweet and efficient. The food was so beautiful and tasted as good as it looked. The biscuits were soooo good. As was the rest of our food choices. We will be back.

I had to come here 3 or 4 different times to actually taste some food, the first time me and my friend came, we waited over 30 minutes before anyone came to the table. My second time, they closed early for some reason, the third time they were closed again for some unknown reason.

My 4th, I finally got seated and got a biscuit that was good and fresh, couldn’t get a mimosa because somethings going on with their liquor license, wanted oxtails and grits for brunch, but they oxtails weren’t ready and wouldn’t be ready for another 2 hours (it was 10:30). So I ended up getting their avocado toast (which was excellent) and just a bowl of grits, (was not good) couldn’t even finish it. I’m contemplating visiting one more time to actually taste the oxtails

The entire staff was amazing. The food was next level. Definitely recommend visiting. I will 1000% be back. The lamb and eggs was original and phenomenal!!!

Great atmosphere and attentive staff. Our party of six all ordered different items off the menu. Everything was delicious, hot, affordable and enjoyed. My husband said his shrimp and grits were the best he'd ever eaten.

Wanted to try this restaurant out for Saturday brunch. Waited for 30 minutes and never got water or anyone to come to the table. With all the options in Greenville, I won’t return here.
