First time parents and we slacked on getting a cake. Went in and the lady who helped us out was so sweet and worked with us to get a last minute cookie cake together for our son’s first birthday. Ordered the cake literally THE NIGHT before we needed it and she blew it out of the water. Thank y’all for making our sons first birthday so special.

Bought 6 overpriced double doozie cookies for wife’s birthday. I think they were about 3-4 days old. Barely had any icing in the middle and stale as a cardboard box. Spent $25 on them and they went in the trash. Food Lion makes some that are $4.99 for 5 of them and they are wayyyy better. Never

My husband asked for a cookie cake for his and a co-workers last day at a hospital before they changed to a new one and was so disappointed in this cookie cake. All he wanted a tombstone & the cake to say “I’m sorry for your loss” as a gimmick. I made sure to write in the instructions if this wasn’t possible please let me know and we could do another idea. I was so embarrassed to have to send this with him and everyone to see. I can’t believe I paid $50 for it and also contacted customer service about it almost 2 months ago and never even heard back. We’ve used cookie cakes for all celebrations and birthday for years, but I think we might start looking for something else.

I shop here a few times a week. I drive from Spartanburg to Haywood mall especially for these cookies. The manager told me since I come so often and I wanted fresh cookies to ask for the ones in the back. I’ve asked the girl named EMMA 2 times for cookies in the back and the first time she was rude but she got them then today she rolled her eyes and hollered she can’t serve the ones in the back & I politely explained my cookies have been hard and the manager told me I could ask for the ones in the back and she still refused to give me the fresh in the back. She blatantly lied to my face first and said she doesn’t have any fresh in the back & my husband could see them so he said well what’s those then she said I can’t serve those yet. I will be calling the manager her rude behavior and eye rolling was uncalled for. Great American cookie you need to get better employees with different attitudes because EMMA acted as if I was asking her to buy my cookies! Or wanted something free. I spend alot of money with this company & I’ll probably never be back. I definitely will not stop at this store if I see this rude girl Emma working & you will be getting a call from me soon & I will be contacting your corporate office as well

Every Christmas my daughter comes home and the one thing she ask for every time is your cookies. So, I bought 12 double doozies at $4.85 per cookie and they tasted bad. Like rancid oil. Not sure if a recipe changed or what.Before this you always had 5 stars from me.

I visited Haywood Mall on 6/2/2022 and this location again was closed. I have purchased these expensive cookies and have earned rewards that I have not been able to use, because this place is closed. This great american cookie store has gotten to be horrible. I contacted the store on woodruff rd and they do not except rewards from the haywood mall location. I am really grateful that woodruff rd store was open to help me with my purchases eventhough they could not except my reward.Great American

We stopped by to grab a cookie for the kids. We were told that they had 2 gluten free cookie options for my 5 year old daughter who has celiac. I was skeptical and pressed, asked again and reiterated that my daughter would be puking the rest of the day if they had gluten. The employee assured me that she double checked with the other employee with more experience and there were 2 types of gluten free cookies that they sold. It still didnt add up to me seeing as there was no sign or label of any kind that indicated that those 2 cookies would be gluten free. I pressed again and asked about cross contamination and she assured me they use new clean mixing bowls, cookie scoops and cookie sheets for every batch. Still not convinced i asked what type of flour they used in those gluten free cookies, the employee referred to a nutritional ingredients list to check. She handed it to me to have a look at it and they both listed wheat flour as an ingredient. I wasn't even angry at the employee but told her she doesnt need to tell people that they are gluten free because they clearly are not. She was very apologetic and kind and im grateful that she answered my questions and helped me to verify the ingredients. However, clearly Great American cookie needs a little bit of education for their employees on what gluten even is.

Fresh cookies, great prices. Quick serves joint. Walk up order pay. Thats it. Seating is available if u want to sit and enjoy your cookies. One thing i miss is the valcano chocolate icing thing. It was SOOOO good. I was sad they got rid of it but this place brings me to my childhood.
