Green Lettuce USA offers a serene dining experience with its calming ambience and Instagram-worthy flower wall. Perfect for intimate gatherings, we enjoyed a peaceful birthday dinner at 4 PM. The restaurant caters well to both vegan and non-vegan diners. The veggie kebab plate is a standout, generously portioned for two. Their specialty cocktails, which can be made into mocktails, are a treat. I particularly enjoyed the Jalapeño Pineapple Margarita, complete with fresh jalapeños. The balsamic mushrooms were a delightful addition - flavorfully sweet and generously portioned. Our server was attentive and friendly, even offering to take our pictures. Green Lettuce USA is ideal for special occasions and those curious about Persian cuisine. While the prices reflect the quality, the experience is worth it. Updated from previous review on 2025-08-05
We had a delicious and delightful meal at Green Lettuce. The food and hospitality were outstanding. The level of detail in the food prep and presentation was indicative of a fine-dining restaurant. For apps we had the Kashk Bademjam and Fresh Beet Mix. The Kashk Bademjam is a sautéed eggplant dish that tasted savory, roasted, and deep. I'm not a fan of eggplant per se, but this dish converted me. The mint and garlic provided lively background notes, and the crispy onions added a perfect crunchy element. The dish was scrumptious with the pita bread. The bread itself was wonderful. Thinner than most pita, and it had a nice sesame seed coating. The Fresh Beet Mix was also a winner. The generous portion of beets was accompanied by thinly sliced cucumber and red onion. The fresh dill and lemon dressing was amazing. The addition of fresh herbs such as parsley and dill were a common theme in all the dishes. For entrees we had the salmon kebab and the beef koobideh (the kebabs are thoughtfuly removed from the sticks prior to presentation). The salmon was impeccablly fresh, and cooked to perfection. The exterior was delicately charred, and the interior was moist and succulent. The fish was better than many salmon dishes that I've had at seafood specialty restaurants. The beef koobideh was ground beef, robustly seasoned. The meat was evidently grilled by the same deft hand that prepared the salmon. The accompanying rice was grain for grain and delicious. Our server Alejandro, was hospitable and attentive. And finally, the mixed drinks were a delight. Green Lettuce satisfies on every level.
We had a wonderful dinner, everything we ordered was outstanding!! Service and table setting was excellent. I highly recommend Green Lettuce.
Slow, slow, slow. From the time walking in the door and getting seated, to ordering, being served, asking twice to get the bill, and getting change, was ridiculous. And to get a bill for over $60 for a salad, a veggie kabob, and a cup of tea was way overpriced. The food was good, but not that good.
Just tried Green Lettuce for the first time! Everything was so fresh and delicious. Our waitress Lucila was wonderful too!
The food was next level! Huge portion, which I could barely finish great value for what you pay for and great service
A true authentic Persian cuisine I have been on the hunt of the Typical kebab (grill minced beef in skewers [Koobideh]) for a long time and finally found one in the US with the taste from its original home “Iran”. In additional to the Must Try Koobideh, the Chicken Kebab is amazing, and the Lamb kebak is almost perfect. The rice are also traditional, with the Zereshk on the sweeter side due to the cranberries. The salad, The Fresh Beet Mix is very refreshing and tasty (very well taste mix) The appetizers; One is “Exceptional;” is the Kask Bademjan (roasted eggplant).... Cannot get more authentic than that. The Dolma (stuffed grape leaves) not bad at all. The cocktails are good,we tried two: The Persian Rose , good but too sweet for our taste. The Tehrangeles is the “Persian Mule” ..... very nice and refreshing. The only thing laking at the restaurant is dessert, none authentic or impressive, just OK (both the coffee cake (Italian version of Tiramisu) and the Napoleon (French imitation of the pastry). Service: very attentive and helpful. Ambience: very nice, clean and “Inviting” place. Very casual place. Value: not cheap, but price matches the quality (High Quality) and Authenticity (Traditional). Recommendation: My absolute favorite....
The food here is delicious! Beautiful presentation. We had the Persian pan stew, grilled shrimp, beet and cucumber salad and an accompanying Shirazi salad. Excellent!
The food was excellent, very fresh and well prepared. The service was very friendly and efficient. It was not too busy the evening we were there and we sat and talked for a longtime and never felt we needed to leave.
What a surprise! The food was incredible and the RICE!! The best rice I have ever had in my life! I have recommended Green Lettuce to everyone and will absolutely be back!
Restaurantji Recommends
Very good attempt at a new place but level of business was something they could not handle. Freezing cold, poorly organized, great effort with care, but they could not pull off being the level they wanted to be. Owner was nice but unable to be verbally interactive. Nobody seemed to coordinate anything. They really did try.
Amazing food, kind but incredibly slow service. We waited 35 minutes to place our drink and food order. Food came out quickly after the order was placed. We had to chase down an employee to get our check after waiting 30+ minutes for it after getting take home boxes. That said...the food was truly phenomenal.
This is a wonderful hidden gem in Greenville. Sam, the owner, gets food at a high level. I think this is the best Persian restaurant in the area. I highly recommend it!
Great restaurant and excellent food. Very busy on Valentine's Day but still had good service.
This is good quality Persian food, prepared well. Could be fancier. Could cost much more. A great value, worth repeating.
