food, service, atmosphere& hospitality everything is good.
I visited throughout one month at greenville, without trying for other food restaurants.
Tasty varieties at buffet lunch, adds another credentials to this cuisine.

Really enjoyed the food. The Chana masala is really good and the portions are generous compared to other places. The food was prepared in a reasonable amount of time and I plan to order from here in the future.

Handi used to be our favorite place for Indian when it was located on Main St downtown; when it closed, we were so sad. Little did I know--they have a new location and the food is as good as ever! So happy to have rediscovered this local little gem where the food is excellent and the service is attentive. We had the lamb vindaloo (delish!) and classic chicken tikka (always good) and finished with the perfect homemade pistachio ice cream. They also have a nice small selection of beer/wine and even a few limited liquor options. So happy to have Handi back on our radar again!

Best Indian restaurant in Greenville (and maybe the entire state of South Carolina??). I love Handi! The staff is so kind and the food is amazing! I have only had great experiences! Take out, dine in, and DoorDash.

Amazing food! Specially the Aloo Gobi is unbeatable with hints of ginger and garlic perfectly balancing cauliflower’s majesty! I love how this reminds me of my absolute favorite recipe- Gobi Adraki made in India! ❤️❤️❤️ I forgot to take any pictures as I was too busy eating it all up. Haha 🤣

I love Indian food. I’ve tried Handi’s lunch buffet, dine-in dinner, and catering – here’s my take:

The good: The naan is outstanding – perhaps the best in the Upstate! Staff are friendly and attentive, and parking is easy enough.

The not-as-good: While the food has flavor, it doesn’t lean toward the distinctive Indian spice profile. Most dishes are overly salty, leaving you reaching for water the rest of the day. The buffet selection also felt unbalanced. Of the three vegetable-based entrées, two featured the same overcooked, mushy mixed vegetables. The lentil dish was a highlight (albeit salty), but I was surprised there wasn’t a paneer option, which is a staple at many Indian buffets. If you enjoy chicken in mild, salty sauces, you may find the offerings more to your liking. However, I wouldn’t recommend Handi's buffet to those seeking plant-based options, which is disappointing given how traditionally vegetarian-friendly Indian cuisine tends to be.

This is the only buffet I excitedly eat at. The food is always good, always hot, and regularly replenished. They serve smaller trays of food so they replenish it more frequently, which keeps things clean and orderly and never cold, in my opinion.

I’ve eaten a lot of Indian food over the years, and Handi is my #1 restaurant of all time for delicious Indian cuisine. My other favorite part about the buffet is that I rarely find something that is too spicy for me to eat. I don’t have the highest spice tolerance but that’s never a problem here - yet the flavors are never lacking as a result, either. This might be my favorite restaurant in Greenville, and it’s just as good as it was years ago when it was downtown.

This was my first time trying Indian cuisine. I chose to visit at lunch time to sample from the buffet. I tried every dish and truly enjoyed everything! The owner was very welcoming, she kindly answered my questions regarding the flavors I was tasting. This will definitely be on my list of stops when I visit Greenville.

⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️ Handi Indian Cuisine – Greenville, SC

Handi is hands-down my favorite spot for authentic Indian food in Greenville. The atmosphere is warm and inviting, and the staff always make you feel like a valued guest.

Their Korma is absolute perfection – rich, creamy, and full of flavor without being overpowering. The Tadka Dal is comfort in a bowl, with the perfect balance of spices and a soulful, home-cooked feel. And for dessert, the Kheer is the perfect finish – creamy, lightly sweet, and fragrant with cardamom.

Whether you’re craving classic Indian comfort food or want to explore new flavors, Handi delivers every time. It’s a place I always look forward to coming back to.

This was, without exaggeration, one of the most disappointing, overpriced, and insulting meals I’ve ever suffered through. The portions were so absurdly small, I honestly thought they’d sent out a sample by mistake. If you’re hungry, do yourself a favor and head to a gas station you’ll get more food and probably better service. The prices? Absolutely criminal. For what they served, it felt like I was being pranked. A few bland bites for the price of a full meal elsewhere it’s hard to describe how frustrating that is. I walked out still hungry and genuinely furious.

I’ve been to many Indian restaurants all across the country, and I have never felt so disrespected as a customer.Avoid this place like your worst ex. It’s a total cash grab with zero authenticity, zero warmth, and zero value. If disappointment were a restaurant, this would be it. I wouldn’t send my worst enemy here.

We walked in hoping for a nice meal and left feeling completely insulted. The prices are nothing short of a scam for the minuscule portions they serve. But the real problem was the service. The staff was incredibly rude and made it clear we were not welcome. It was an appalling experience from start to finish. Do yourself a favor and go somewhere else.
