I recently had an exceptional breakfast experience at IHOP in Greenville, SC, located in Mauldin. Candi, our server, was absolutely phenomenal—she truly made my visit memorable and has completely changed my perspective on dining there in the future.
Initially, I was hesitant to dine at IHOP during my travels, but my cousin highly recommended this specific location, claiming their food surpasses other breakfast spots. She confidently said that IHOP’s pancakes are unbeatable compared to places like Cracker Barrel, and she was spot on. The food was absolutely delicious!
From now on, whenever I’m in any city, IHOP will definitely be my go-to for breakfast. And when I return to Greenville, I’ll be sure to dine here again!
A huge thank you to Candi for her warm hospitality, professionalism, and genuine care—she truly went above and beyond. This experience has definitely earned IHOP a special place in my breakfast rotation!

I have been debating on if I should write this review all day since it happened this morning but I honestly that manager was so wrong .
I was picking up a doordash order and let me tell you .. the energy in this store is terrible and it all starts with management. I ended up witnessing one of the most unprofessional scenes I’ve ever seen in a workplace. A manager who is named Penny was going back and forth with a young employee over something clearly personal , it had nothing to do with the job. From what I overheard, the whole situation was over the employee not wanting to talk about her mom quitting the job — and apparently that hurt the manager’s feelings? That’s insane. Since when does someone need to share family business to keep their job??? A few minutes later, I saw the employee grabbing her things and yelling after being let go — right there, during her shift, over something that was clearly personal and had nothing to do with work performance. You could tell this was a good worker who got singled out by someone on a power trip. I won’t be spending my money somewhere that treats staff like that. Do better.

This morning as I was finishing up an my last bites I heard this young black lady yelling and seen she was highly upset. When I saw her outside , I decided to go ask her what was wrong and she told me (very calmly and respectfully) that the GM Penny was upset because she didn’t want to share private information about her mother, who had recently left the job. She also said that the manger told her that one of the times she called out that she wanted to tell Kelly (the other manager) the reason why so the manager Penny felt a way about that as well. The employee said she trusted another manager with that info instead, and apparently that hurt this manager’s ego so bad she decided to fire her on the spot. Over something that had nothing to do with job performance. It was honestly shocking and disgusting to hear about a grown adult in a leadership position act so childish and emotionally unstable in a workplace. Yes the employee was very upset but I don’t blame her . That manager completely abused her authority and honestly if I was her I would take the termination to court. This place needs serious leadership training and better oversight, because that behavior was unacceptable. I won’t be returning.

Upon entering the restaurant we were waiting to be seated. The waitress looked at us and told the host to skip her, which I thought was rude to say in front of customers. I am a server myself and was trained not to do that in front of customers. Also, later that night my kids were sick and throwing up all night. I am very disappointed and will not come back to this location. I spent 60 on food that made my kids sick.

This is the best run ihop in the state of SC. They consistently offer wonderful customer service. I always and curious why there is never a wait on Saturday mornings (the busiest possible mornings) and it’s because they are quick and efficient with their service getting customers in and out. I’ve been to this ihop about 25 times in my life and it is always super great! Keep up the great work!
