We visited here and had roti and dal tadka, tomato soup, matar mashroom, salad. Only Tandoori roti and matar mashroom was somewhat better. Tomato soup was like butter masala gravy. Salad is full of dressing, not good. Very bad service.

Love this place!
We had a terrible experience here. The customer service was extremely poor, and the staff had a very rude attitude. At first, we sat at one table, but it was way too tight since we had a bigger person with us. We moved to a second table, but it was shaky. When we asked to switch again, the waitress came over with an attitude and sarcastically said, “Did you finally find a table? What’s your problem?”
That was completely unprofessional and disrespectful. Because of that, we decided to leave without eating. Honestly, it’s not worth spending your money here—go to McDonald’s instead. At least there, you’ll get treated better.

Second time I received my order like this now. Salty and swimming in oil. Definitely recommended going elsewhere now for the butter chicken. Sad that it's so far from the delicious food I've had there in the past.

I have tried dozens of Indian restaurants in the Southeast—stretching from Texas to the Carolinas—this restaurant sits on top, and here’s why for me:
I am a Butter Chicken lover, and this place has the most creamy, soothing broth of all the restaurants I have tried. The chicken given is plentiful. The rice is pleasantly seasoned.

Food great service is terrible. I’m currently sitting in the restaurant and it took them 7 mins before I got up to tell them “we need to order”. Also, waiter asked, if I need a refill? Tell me why he never came back with the refill

India Palace has become a masterclass in cutting corners. The owner’s refusal to invest in quality or service is obvious: portion sizes have shrunk, recipes have been watered down, and the food no longer tastes like it used to—because it isn’t. But the worst part? The staffing. There’s typically one exhausted family member trying to serve the entire dining room while the rest of us sit, wait, and wonder if we’ll ever get a second drink. It’s not an off night. It’s a pattern. This isn’t a hospitality issue—it’s a stinginess issue. And it shows in every bite, every delay, and every empty glass. The only thing that’s increased is their prices.

The service was excellent. The guy who took my to-go order was very kind. The food was okay. Was missing the authentic taste in my opinion. The samosas had full peas in them and only one sauce which was okay. It all lacked seasoning and the authentic flavors I usually look for in Indian food. I just moved here from Portland, OR, and I was excited to try the oldest Indian restaurant in Greenville. Naan bread wasn't great for $5 a piece. Raw garlic in it and no salt on top or seasonings. One-time try.

India Palace is a wonderful Indian spot here in Greenville. We love going and though it’s humble and not much to shout about, the owners are so kind and we love having it here in Greenville.
