Food is amazing and our waiter named Brian was so friendly and fun. They definitely stepped up their location and the building and atmosphere.

Absolutely loved our experience here! The food was fresh, flavorful, and beautifully presented. From crispy appetizers to savory fried rice and mouthwatering sushi dishes, everything was delicious. The staff was friendly and attentive, and the atmosphere was perfect for a fun gathering with team. Definitely a new favorite spot—highly recommend! 🍣🥢🍤

The menu here is a lite different than regar Sushi restaurants. Basically the same but they add items to their sushi that makes it better. I would eat here again.

Food=not good at all…not sure what the rave is for.
Service= Owen behind the bar did a fantastic job, he is personable, knowledgeable, and entertaining. Excellent, genuine bartender. Also, weirdly enough, great selection of bourbon and whiskey.
The atmosphere: feels so weird and off putting. I can’t put my finger on it, but it was so weird, like I stepped into a 1970’s time capsule.
The bar height was also too high in proportion to the stools.
Also, the menu is the most funky menu I have ever seen. Way too many pictures and options…my eyes popped out of my head!
I can’t believe this is considered a “sushi” pub with the low quality, bottom-of-the-barrel sushi I was served.
The dim sum appetizer tasted like the food was previously fried, stored, and then re-fried. Tasted of old oil and was hard and salty. Not good.
The tire sushi roll was very funky and bland. I want to say it was bottled thousand island dressing on the side as well-LOL. At least there was ginger and wasabi.
The ice cream tempura was ok…way too sweet batter and very sugary and overwhelming. Was told the mochi is boxed and not homemade either.
Honesty, Owen is the only good thing happening here and I would stop by for a drink here with him and that’s about it.

This place is not the same anymore. We used to come here for years and love the food but unfortunately the customer service has gone down the drain making the food not even worth it any more. We came in 30 minutes before closing and were treated like criminals starting from the host to the waiters. I don’t know if I’ll be back here again. What a shame.

The food was delicious as always but the service was terrible. The server (Elijah) went to the table beside me to drop off the check and walked away, I didn't know he was my server. He came back a few minutes later and said what do you want today. I told him a water and steamed gyoza, I didn't know what roll yet. When he came back with my water, he asked, so you know what you want yet so I told him. He never refilled my water but he came finally up to get my plate and asked me if I was still alright (my mouth was full so I nodded my head) I only had 3 pieces of sushi left so when I finished, I sat there waiting with nothing to drink waiting on my check. I finally stood up and saw him and two girls sitting at a booth facing me talking. One of the girls made eye contact with me but then just started looking around, never said anything to him about me looking around. I finally said, can I get my check please? He walks to the table and asked if I was ready for my check, I said yes, so he comes back and drops it off. Thankfully, I was paying with cash and not card so I didn't have to wait for him to come back. This used to be my go to spot for sushi when I came to Greenville but the last two times I came, the service wasn't good so I've been trying other places. I finally decided to give them another try and today was the worst experience I've had there. I hope the service improves so if I give them another try, it can be my go to spot again.

So Irashai has moved locations again. They are now in the old Chiefs building on Congaree Rd which is actually a good option for them. The menu contains additional options the Woodruff Rd location didn't contain. Food was great. We ordered sushi, hibachi, and mussels. Everything tasted fresh and yummy. The atmosphere is more of a Sushi Bar/Pub. I was hoping to see more authentic decor but that's okay. Food and service didn't disappoint.

I know sushi and the rice was hard and not good at all. The fish on the nigiri was ok at best. I then ordered ika geso and the squid was hard, I couldn't eat it. The Pelham Rd location was so much better. The bartender was excellent, I think his name is Owen. He was the only bright spot in a very dismal dinner.

Great new facility outstanding service my waiter John is great.
The food is good. The atmosphere is ok. The prices were competitive. The service was ok.
I HIGHLY RECOMMEND this place!! Best food and absolutely DELICIOUS!!! Great prices too!!!! Mussels were the BEST I have tasted!!! Steak and chicken bowls tender and tasteful!!! Sushi is the BEST!!!!! Will always come back and recommend to others! I am from Anderson SC and it is worth the drive!!!
Very disappointed in the food & service. 1st the waiter forgot to order my father's dinner. 2nd, we all paid for a shrimp dish and were given bay shrimps. I asked the waiter and he said they are always that small. I've never been to a Japanese restaurant that doesn't serve jumbo shrimp. None of us ate it. I don't eat bay shrimp, period.
Waste of money. We weren't even offered anything for the waiter forgetting to order one dinner, making us sit there waiting 15 more minutes.
Will never return to any Irashai.
Absolutely fantastic sushi and cocktails. Totally recommend!!!
