first time in this establishment. I’ve been to Georgia and wanted to find something in our area. The staff is great. Not knowing English didn't stop us from enjoying the evening. The cuisine is of a good standard, I liked almost everything, except for the meat. I took the pork and it seemed undercooked.

There is absolutely nothing Georgian about the taste of the food here. The spices are nonexistent, and the khachapuri is basically just a cheese pizza. On top of that, the portions is really small for $16. This place doesn’t feel like Georgian cuisine at all. Most people who come here have probably never tried real Georgian food.

Service: For the most part, you’re serving yourself. They brought us water and food (along with a dirty plate), but if you want to order, you have to go up to the bar since there’s no full service here.
P.S. They did replace the plate, but maybe you all should pay a little more attention when serving guests.

Can’t say enough good things about the food here. The kharcho was my favorite. I was pleasantly surprised that it came with a plate of fluffy pita-like bread triangles for dipping. The khachapuri and khinkali drenched in butter were good too. I loved that the khinkali were handmade at the restaurant, not frozen, with thin and delicate, not doughy, skins. (I saw the kitchen ladies walking by with a tray of uncooked ones.)

We tried to eat at Keipi last Friday night. The website and the sign outside said the place was open. However, the door with the sign out front was locked. No sweat; we got in through the other door. Once inside, there was no host stand and no one to greet us, seat us, or give us a wait time. I stood there for a minute, hoping to attract someone's attention, but no one noticed me.

So, I went to the bar in the next room where I stood in line for some time while two employees talked to the man in front of me. Eventually another group came up. Each one was holding a menu (who knows where they got them!), and they pushed in front of me. One lady in the group looked at me, shrugged, and said, "Apparently, we're supposed to order for ourselves." At that point, we just left since we clearly would not be seated, served, or even spoken to, and it appeared that the guests lucky enough to be awarded menus were not given instructions about how to use them.

If Keipi is interested in serving the public, I would suggest implementing appropriate signage, hiring staff to do basic services like greet your customers, and providing some sort of map through the dining experience because guesswork isn't fun. This restaurant seems like an interesting concept, but what a weird experience!

I highly recommend you have your next dinner date here! It’s quickly become one of my favorite restaurants in Greenville. I’ve gone here multiple times since I’ve moved to the area and the food, drinks, and service is always a 10/10. My personal favorite dishes are the Adjaruli Khachapuri and the Lamb Skewers. Don’t leave without dessert! The Medok is DIVINE. I should also add that there’s a wide variety of wines and cocktail selections. Definitely something for everyone! It’s a beautiful spot and the staff is welcoming and friendly. If you’ve never had Georgian food before, this restaurant will honestly make you fall in love with it!
