Absolutely loved everything about this place! While the restaurant was busy, we were seated pretty quickly by a friendly hostess.

Our server, Ryan, was professional and knowledgeable of the menu, answered any questions we had, and was very prompt to make sure our order met our expectations and checked on us regularly to make sure we had everything we needed, but not so much that it was ever irritating. He was just excellent.

Now the food. Our appetizer of zucchini humus with sweet potato flatbread was flavorful and just a touch spicy, balanced with the sweet potato on the flatbread. It was a great starter. My partner had the rib pork chop, perfectly cooked and lightly glazed with an apple and bacon compote, served with whipped sweet potatoes and a sauteed vegetable mix. Very tasty and would highly recommend. I had the daily special surf-and-turf, which was a sirloin grilled to a perfect medium rare, with 6 large grilled shrimp, resting on a bed of mashed potatoes with the above mentioned vegetables. It was fantastic! For dessert we shared an apple and cranberry cobbler that was served with two scoops of ice cream. We substituted the salted caramel for the standard vanilla ice cream, and it paired well with the sweet/tart of the cobbler.

Overall this was an excellent dining experience and we'll definitely be back!

Had a great lunch here with my wife the other day. The shrimp burger was excellent, as usual, as were the fries. I had the the chicken sandwich and added bacon to it which was great! The only comment I'd add, and I know it's a transitional weather season in late summer, but it was uncomfortably chilly while dining today.

* Eastside Location*
We visited the new Eastside location the Saturday after they opened and I’ve never been to the original location, so I was very excited to see what the hype was about. Busy per usual for a first week open, the staff took my reservation request over the phone since the online option wasn’t available yet and we were seated right away upon arrival.

Service was extremely slow: refill drinks, no salt/pepper on the table, when I asked for salt it never came and my food was getting cold and it needed salt… (that same thing I eat a lot of salt since chemo)

Food was good, but when I realized the crackers that accompanied the pimento cheese were spicy I explained that I can’t do anything spicy due to chemotherapy side effects. Our server said that cracker didn’t come any other way and she could offer Naan. Okay, perfect!! (I was also wearing my F* Cancer sweatshirt - it was cold in there - so our server already commented on it and knew I had cancer). The Naan took so long that my friend and I were done with our food before it came out. Then to my surprise, $9 on my bill for the Naan; server never told me there was an added cost and for 1 piece of Naan I would have said no to that for $9. She never took time to ask us anything, so I paid the bill and went home.

Atmosphere & space is gorgeous. Rhe booth we sat in back in the corner by the bathroom was quiet enough to have a conversation which I appreciate!

The Eastside needed this restaurant. I hope in future visits the service is more timely, attentive & extra costs are mentioned even when accommodating someone with an allergy, cancer or any reason…

Eh. Probably won’t be back. Burgers cooked wrong. App came out after entrées but was cold so why the delay? Just a very average experience.

Whitney was the absolute best! Our first time to this location was exceptional. We had 5 children, one with ASD— and the experience because of her was beyond what we anticipated. The food was incredible. The pizza, burger; etc… Thank you. We truly enjoyed being there. To anyone asking about this location— please know it’s perfect.

We came here for dinner based the menu and good reviews. We ordered the toast of the day and each got a salad. My mom also got a side of mashed potatoes. I added chicken to my salad. The toast of the day was excellent and I’d definitely order that again. The salad was a bit plain, it needed something like feta or dried cranberries. Also, the chicken in it was so overcooked and dry. That was really disappointing. The mashed potatoes and gravy were a bit bland but my mom still enjoyed them. The salad greens were fresh and our server was great. If I eat here again, I’d try something else from the menu. The chicken being that dry makes me unsure if I would come again because there are so many options of other places to eat nearby.

We have been to Kitchen Sync many times and have had great food and service.
Tonight was different. It was SO loud that we could not hear each other at our table for four -and couldn’t even hear the waiter. The word of the night was “What??”
We couldn’t wait to get out of there. I don’t even remember what my food tasted like because the atmosphere was so incredibly terrible.
I’m very disappointed. If I could give zeros for atmosphere and overall experience I would.

Great place and awesome food. I didn’t finish mine since there was a hair in it but they handled it so well and so professionally I’m excited to give it another shot. They comped the item and gave us a gift card for a future visit. The service was great and especially since it was so busy.

Ordered the sticky chicken appetizer. The sauces were good but 80% of the chicken was overcooked and chewy. For the main course I ordered the bon mi salad ($20) which was very unimpressive. The lettuce was overwhelming and the shrimp was very average. You are far better off getting a Vietnamese dish at a pho restaurant instead. This restaurant should stick to cooking southern American food in my opinion. I will come back and try the burger and see if it changes my mind.

I judge a restaurant on their meatballs. Lolz. These are head and shoulders above everyone. The Polenta underneath is a great touch.
