Visited for Mother's Day Brunch with my family. Table was in the perfect spot when we arrived so very happy. Server was super nice and very attentive. Party of 7 and 5 got the buffet. Ordered one entree (French toast). Carving station of the buffet was very nice but all other food was bland. Eggs had no seasoning and were constantly running out so lots of waiting. Other 3 sides provided also had very little seasoning and were out 2 of the times I went for more. They had biscuits out and a spoon to add butter. Watched multiple people get the butter off the spoon with their finger then put it back in the bowl for everyone else to use. French toast came out once the rest of us had already had two helpings from the buffet. Love Larkins but won't do the buffet next time for sure.

I'm sorry to say, but my recent experience at Larkins restaurant in Greenville was disappointing. While the setting was nice, the service was mediocre at best. We endured a long wait for our food, and to make matters worse, the Mother's Day buffet was out of a lot of food options. Overall, it was not the enjoyable dining experience we were hoping for.

It was great start to finish ! Our waiter was excellent - Brian! No rush through our cocktails & appetizer - apple beignets! Brunch was delicious Again no rush through coffee after brunch!

We went to Larkin's for Mother's Day brunch with my wife and kids and won't be going back. Our reservation was at 10:30 and when we arrived there were maybe two other tables seated in the entire restaurant. The host started to walk us outside and I asked him if we could please sit inside. He looked at the computer screen for a couple of minutes and then said they were filled with reservations and couldn't seat us inside. I had reservations and did not select outdoor seating so this seemed like a very reasonable request. Also, it was hard to take given the fact that the restaurant was almost completely empty. However, it was Mother's Day and I didn't want to be difficult so we followed him outside. He then tries to seat us at a table directly facing the sun. No umbrella, nothing. I told him we couldn't sit there as half our party couldn't even open their eyes. He got very annoyed and went back inside. A couple of minutes later he returned and said we could sit at a table up against the side of the building. Within minutes my wife and children were freezing as we had not prepared to sit outside. Our server was well-intentioned but seemed absolutely clueless about how the brunch worked. He wasn't sure if you were allowed multiple trips to the buffet and he then suggested taking a dirty plate up each time. We watched several parties get seated and then leave either because they were cold, placed staring at the sun, or no one ever even acknowledged them. The food itself was very good. I got the buffet and the folks working the line were great. It was the front of house that was the problem. The seating, hosting, and service was extremely poor. I'm not sure if that's how they typically run the restaurant, but there are so many other options in Greenville it's not worth dealing with one that's run this poorly.

Have been to the “old” Larkins many times, first visit to new location. Upon arrival (with reservations for Mother's Day) we were greeted by a young man and lady at host desk. The lady without looking up said dryly, “Do you have reservations” we replied “yes”, “Name?” ....said our name. She told the young man to take us to table whatever. No “Welcome” no “Wonderful. Happy Mother's Day, right this way...”. This person needs to be retrained or fired immediately. Terrible first impression. BUT - it was a beautiful morning in downtown Greenville, Artiphere abuzz and I don't let anyone rain on my parade for more than a second. Our waiter was fabulous, Bloody Mary delicious (a little small in my opinion), carving station outstanding, chef tending to area - very courteous and accommodating, atmosphere open airy, decor and design lovely. We'll be back, but I expect Larkins to correct the greeting situation ASAP.

Awesome customer service from both the chef and server for mothers day brunch, the chef was very attentive and made our experience more unique. Will definitely come back for this brunch and for dinning.

Came here for Mother's Day Brunch. We had come here foe Mother's Day Brunch when they were at their ild location. The food food was just OK. Not great, but definitely not bad. Service was slow even though they were not very busy. Wife and I ordered the Bruch buffet. Son ordered the eggs Benedict. Watched my son's food sit on the warmer for 10 minutes before it made it to us. We had to remind our server on a few occasions for refills/etc. Overall, I will skip Larkins form now on. Much better service/food at other places.

Our experience was top notch! Chef Chelsea and her team went above and beyond. Chef Chelsea's team exceeded our expectations. The quality of both the raw ingredients and finished dishes kept us wanting for more. One big Thumb's-Up Casandra, our server was knowledgeable, attentive, enthusiastic, and engaging. We will be back asking for Casandra the next time we are in town. Cheers to Larkin's on the River!

Larkins was AMAZING!!! The service, the food, the atmosphere and location was STELLAR. Big shout out to G.M Ted. He and his staff is the reason wht this place is amazing. It was a guys weekend for us and it was just what we needed. Thank you all again ans Happy Mothers Day

The service and kitchen were very slow. We waited over an hour for our food, with no asks from the server if we wanted any drink refills. We had to walk to the bar for drink service from our table.

We had a 8pm reservation. We were seated @8:25pm after we requested to be seated after waiting longer than we planned. We were seated in a different place than we wanted. Why ask where we want to sit if you can't accommodate. Our waiter had to be flagged down to give us water and to acknowledge us. We loved the appetizer however the rest wasn't good at all. We had a couple of drinks and the bartender told our waiter we couldn't have more than 1 lime per drink b/c they were running low. That's tacky to say the least. We spent $250 all said and done and we can't have an extra lime? Won't be going back!

We were excited to go back to Larkin's as we have enjoyed brunch in the past. Unfortunately, our steaks were all overcooked and they were not very accommodating with food allergies.

Service (Jacquelyn) was wonderful and made the night We split a dessert and she took it and put it on three decorated plates We each had different salads which were great along with our steaks Wonderful night

Steak was bland, absolutely no flavor. Additionally, one person in our party ordered the tuna tartar for their entree and was told when is was brought to the table they were out of chips so they just ate it plain. This should have been brought to our attention when we ordered.

While the food was “fine,” medium rare apparently translates here to medium well. The salad was drowning in dressing and there really was no flavor to my steak beyond the salt & pepper on the outside only. The service, while kind, was remarkably slow considering it was 5p on a Sunday and the house was 3/4 empty. We will likely explore other area dining options in the future.
