Visiting in Greenville SC, first time trying Lewis BBQ, it was out of this world! Brisket sandwich, greens, Mac and cheese along with fantastic french fries topped off with banana pudding! We will be back!!

The title of one of the Top 50 BBQ joints in the land is well deserved. The flavor of the bbq is matched by the extraordinary customer service. My friends and I made a 2 hour trip just to dine here. It was well worth the drive. I can promise you will not be disappointed... unless you are a vegetarian.

Amazing atmosphere. They have a beautiful outdoor seating areas, the interior is well designed, and they have a large bar area. I was traveling from out of town and specifically sought this place out to eat.They do not have a combo platter for brisket and bbq which is odd for a bbq joint. I was offered a sample of the brisket, and it was really delicious so I decided to order a brisket sandwich with collard greens and the mac and cheese.I will start with the all star of the meal, and that was the mac and cheese. Perfect blend of creamy and crispy on the outside. It was the show stealers.The collard greens were average with little flavoring. I had to add bbq sauce to them to make them palatable. It was almost as they were not not cooked long enough as they were not soft enough and they lacked any evidence of vinegar.The brisket was the big disappointment. First the brisket is served on a cheap discount bun. It blows my mind to charge that much for a brisket sandwich and serve it on cheap bread. The brisket had a decent texture and a fair bark on it. Unfortunately the brisket lacked overall flavor and tenderness. The bark was difficult to chew almost like it had left too long to cook.Since this was my first stop on my restaurant tour of Greenville, I am really disappointed. The staff were all young, and they were so kind. But the meal was a real disappointment for me.

Great BBQ. They even give you a sample to taste before you order. They are known for their brisket so thats what we went with. You order the Meat by the pound then add whatever sides you want. We had the sliced Brisket ( half a pound) , Texas hot guts sausage (1 link), Mac & Cheese and Collard Greens. It was plenty for the 2 of us to share. Everything was good. We went early on a Saturday around 3, while plenty busy there was only a short line. Plenty of parking and seating both inside & out.

Better than the BBQ place in downtown by miles. Come here for incredible BBQ. Have to have the brisket, sausage was good, Mac and cheese was top tier and the pinto beans were ok but I don’t usually get beans so that’s my bad. A1 keep up the good work, this place is my Top 5 BBQ of all time.Wheelchair accessibility: Has access but don’t know if doors are automatic. Don’t think so.
