BBQ was dry w/o sauce, but they did have some options and were very nice about providing different sauces for free. The BBQ was so dry it wouldn't stay on the bun. Frustrating. The hush puppies were very good. The Mac n cheese was average. Prices were not bad.

Regarding barbecue, what you want The Taste is meat and smoke. Smoking meat! This place came through in spades. I ordered the large barbecue sandwich with coleslaw and sweet sauce. It's really two meals...the food that stays on the bun and the food that's left over after the bun disappears. The meat left over covered the plate, no joke! Would eat again and again.

This place was great in regards to the food, service, and a chill atmosphere. Tender pork, various sauces, crispy and juicy chicken, and one of the best, creaminess sweet potato crunch! For great quality of the meals for a family, you get more for your money.

I have come here twice now and the food is exceptional! I also like the old fashioned family atmosphere. The prices are on par for other places that serve the same thing but these portion sizes are plenty! They have 6 bbq sauces to choose from so no matter what your taste is in BBQ they can meet your preferences. I really like the sweet potato crunch, green beans, and Mac and cheese but I haven't had any other sides. I'm sure they are great as well! Try it out. It's very close to the Greenville Memorial (GHS) so you should have no problem finding it. Do be fooled by it's simple exterior. Inside you'll find tastey treasures!

Not exactly handicap accessible but worth the effort to get in. We both had the BBQ pork plate and it wasn't as fatty as I thought it would be. Good value for the money!
I got the pulled pork sandwich, baked beans, and sweet potato casserole. Everything is great and tastes homemade! I will try a different sauce next time since the mustard-based sauce is a little thin. All in all, great customer service and a great meal. I will be back.

I do enjoy the food here and supporting this small business. However I fear that the higher pricing, probably due to inflation, will most likely keep me away. For similar pricing there are better BBQ options nearby.

I had gotten into a car accident in front of this restaurant - so we got hungry and came here for the first time; the pulled pork plate was great came with two sides, but one I wasn’t a big fan of one the sides so I asked if it’s oks to get hushpuppies instead. At no extra charge they gave me the hush puppies and they were delicious! Friendly staff / quick service
