I consider my self a BBQ expert... I have eaten a LOT of BBQ in the Upstate of SC, and Mike & Jeff's BBQ remains at the top of the list, second to none. The meat doesn't actually NEED any sauce at all and has a GREAT flavor by itself! Jeff actually layers flavored bacon over the pork while it is being smoked to give it an EXCELLENT flavor.... and no, it does NOT taste like an "ash tray" as some other reviewer stated. If you like oven baked BBQ that doesn't have a smoked flavor, try Little Pigs or Buckey's. But if you want good southern smoked BBQ that is truly delicious, go with Mike & Jeff's! Oh, and their sides are also out of this world! Is it a "hole in the wall" type of place? Yeah, but the inside is actually nice and quaint. Eat here, you won't be disappointed!!

You come for the food, not the place. The ribs are fall off the bone tender and delicious, the pork has a wonderful smoke, and the sides are excellent!Parking: Parking is limited, but there's an empty lot next door, so it's very close and easy to get parking

Mike and Jeff’s is so awesome! Their food is incredible and never fails to satisfy my appetite for some good barbecue! This is the only place I’d ever go to get some BBQ! Definitely recommend!!

It’s solid BBQ. The ribs were quite good and the pulled pork was OK. I’d give it more than a base three star but there’s not an option for it. Their regular base red sauce is a nice touch and if you like a lot of kick then their spicy will give that to you unlike any spicy bbq sauce that I have had. Not a fan of the mustard sauce. Service was very good but the food was solid but not spectacular or upper tier. Maybe had higher hopes going there with a 4.7 rating but it definitely is not a place to avoid.

I’ve been going here for years and they are consistently one of if not the best BBQ spots in town. Today they took it a step further when my company had a last minute event we put on, they catered the whole thing on short notice, saved the day AND everyone was impressed with the food! Support local business and stop in at Mike and Jeffs or use them for catering!

Eat here!!! We were just passing thru Greenville, decided to walk main street. It's a nice town but a bit too high end for our liking. After we left, we just happened upon mike and Jeff's bbq!!! 2401 old buncombe rd. Greenville. Our style!!! Simple, welcoming and oh so good. The waitress was so charming. We felt like we were at a friends home. The food was delishous and the portions were huge. The prices were fair.It was fantastic!!!! We love the local favorite restaurants of America. We toured texas last year and ate at dozens of bbq joints, mike and Jeff's is now in our top 2 list!!!!
Everytime I've come here for the last 20 years the place has been perfect. Never a bad or even mediocre experience. The BBQ is incredible, the sides are amazing, the portions are perfect, the price is beyond fair. This is truly a great gem of a place and we are lucky to have them in Greenville. PS. You are one of the few remaining places who actually know how to make sweat tea.

A friend of mine was in town, and he loves BBQ; I wanted to find the best BBQ in Greenville, so I did a search, and the names I recognized had average reviews. But Mike and Jeff's were 5-star, so I thought we'd give it a try.Maps gave me good directions to the restaurant. It's a small building, but I was able to see the road sign so I didn't drive by.The food was phenomenal. My friend and I both had the sandwich plate. And we both agreed Mike and Jeff's is really something special.
