We had delicious sushi and small appetizer, but menu included Korean entrees and other options like ramen. We are just visiting for a couple days but would highly recommend to locals as well as visitors.

If you are going for “knock your socks off”sushi, not the place. Sushi was as ok but there is better in Greenville. If you are going to relax and hang out for a while, the atmosphere and location is fantastic. Service was ok, but we were not in a hurry, which the atmosphere promotes, relaxation. We made a reservation so there was no wait.

Good environment in the middle of downtown. Our food did take a bit and my rolls were room temperature but overall I can’t complain. They were very busy. I plan on being back!

We decided to check this place out after hearing good things from coworkers and seeing good reviews on social media, so I went in with high expectations. We arrived about an hour after they opened one afternoon and there was one person sitting at the bar.
As we were being seated, I noticed the floor was sticky in several places and there were several straw wrappers on the table that were probably left from the night before. The window next to our table looked like someone had smeared their greasy hands all over it . After talking with my wife, we opted to stay and at least try the food.
While waiting for our food, the waiter brought us a flask of ice water that we had to pour ourselves and there was just enough for 3 glasses and it was never refilled. There was a slight odor that I can only describe as “dirty mop water” that never dissipated. The salt and pepper shakers were covered with something greasy, and apparently the waiter didn’t pay enough attention when he handed them to me.
The food was okay at best, and very pricey for what it was. My daughter ordered a king crab roll that wasn’t very good and was partially warmed. The rice for my dish came out in a huge bowl shaped scoop like you’d expect from some fast food joint! Will definitely not be returning and won’t recommend it to anyone that’s looking for Korean/Japanese cuisine. I don’t expect the place to be around that long unless they make some drastic changes!

We had the best experience dining at Otto Izakaya this weekend. We did not have a reservation and went saturday night for an early dinner. We were promptly greeted by our very knowledgeable server and brought our drinks soon after. We order based on her recommendation and we were SO satisfied. We ordered the Nigiri (8) piece, the baked salmon roll and the samurai roll. 10/10 recommend.

Otto Izakaya is a cute little restaurant situated in the perfect area for a good night out. I cannot speak for all the food options on the menu, however I can confidently say that if it follows what I ordered, it isn't amazing.
Starting off at the portion size, I ordered a spider roll. I got about maybe 6 pieces for about 18 dollars not including tax. Meaning that it was about 3 dollars a pieces. This ratio wasn't the best, so one would hope that the quality would make up for it right? Sadly it didn't. It was pretty bland dry sushi with not the freshest ingredients.
Maybe I just got unlucky in my order and the rest of the menu is better. Who knows.
TLDR: Too expensive for the quality and quantity provided. Experience may vary.
