Rise Bakery more than lives up to its name — everything here feels elevated. The Fig & Brie Baguette is a knockout: chewy crust, tender crumb, the creamy brie melting perfectly into the sweetness of fig. It’s indulgent but balanced, the kind of sandwich that makes you pause mid-bite just to appreciate the flavors working together. Then there’s the Vietnamese Coffee Roll — bold, sweet, and aromatic, with that unmistakable coffee punch wrapped in soft, flaky layers. It’s both comfort food and a little adventure in pastry form.

But Rise isn’t just about what’s on the plate. The whole atmosphere feels crafted with care — clean, welcoming, and buzzing with quiet creativity. Even the gear reflects that same vibe. My wife, a budding baker herself, is absolutely obsessed with their merch. The shirts are sharp and clever, a reminder that this place knows how to bake culture and community right into its brand.

Whether you come for the bread, the coffee, or the inspiration, Rise Bakery hits on all levels. It’s the kind of place that makes you want to linger, taste, and maybe even dream about your next creation

have literal tears in my eyes as I write this. The BEST sandwiches I’ve ever had in America. And this is coming from a well-traveled foodie who’s lived all over the East Coast, lived a decade in California, and visits Europe every six months.

With absolute certainty, I can say their ham and butter sandwich and their fig and brie sandwich are unmatched. The bread, the baguette, is PERFECTION!! Whatever magic they’re working here, every bakery in America needs to take note.

I am beyond grateful to the bakery gods for leading me to this place. This will forever be my spot whenever I’m in Greenville for business, or even just passing through. The sandwiches are simply beyond.

The best sourdough in the Upstate! We buy three loafs and put them in the freezer and use throughout the week! Stays fresh and is so delicious!

Best bread and pastries around

Would post a picture but ate my loot already. This bakery has a selection of bread, pastries, hot and cold drinks. The variety is just enough. Bread is on a rotation weekly with some available daily (baguettes for our homesick french comrades). They have the staple pastries (croissants, etc.) as well as new things to try (kouign-amann, lavender and peach danish, etc.). Seating is limited inside, but the friendly staff provide quick counter service. Bonus, they have dog treats for all the good dogs, which is all of them.

Love the look of this bakery. Bought a peach lavender Danish. Very yummy but I can't taste any lavender.

On a spur of the moment venture into the villages to get pottery next door, we stopped in at Rise Bakery. My wife was super excited to get amazing artisan bread at very reasonable prices. The vibe is laid back and welcoming. I’m eager to come back in a morning sometime and see things at their peak.

Really good baked goods! Good Coffee!
Staff is rather unorganized though, they had 8+ people behind the counter and still managed to forget my order - but I was the only customer at the time. Especially one lady was all over the place, between feeding bacon to a dog outside, doing paperwork in the store and selling items while others were just on their phones…
