We are glad we found this place. Really good German food in a beautiful restaurant. The trio of mini desserts was really a treat. Great pork loin with gravy and spatzel with a side of really good red cabbage. This meal couldn’t have been better.

It’s rare that I leave a negative review, but my partner and I left feeling unwelcome enough that it seems worth sharing.
We arrived around 8:05 (relevant), and from the start the interaction with our server was uncomfortable. When she asked for our drink order, my partner said water, I started to say the same, but she cut me off with, “I’m pouring you both water,” delivered in a way that felt unnecessarily sharp. It put both of us on the back foot but we tried to let it go as we had been looking forward to dinner.
When she returned a few minutes later, we still needed a moment with the menu. She reminded us that the kitchen closed at 8:30, a reasonable piece of information, but again delivered with a curtness that implied we were about to be a problem. Ive worked in the industry and can appreciate end of night pressures, but the tone made us feel more like an inconvenience than guests.
At that point, we decided to leave. We weren’t interested in paying to feel unwelcome. I can’t speak to the food, which I’m sure is excellent, but the service was discouraging enough that we won’t be returning.
If you decide to try Schwaben House, don't arrive past 8 or you may be met with unnecessary hostility.

The menue items are fantastic but the specials are why I will go back. The salad was an experience, trout was perfection, finished with a coffee and shared chocolate cake and ice cream.

Atmosphere is very nice. Oktoberfest beer was great but $13 for one is high. We had a Jaegerschnitzel. I am German and this was very disappointing. It was a tough Scaloppini. We tried the Strudel Desert it was tasty they charged an extra $5 for IceCream that we did not ask for . We will not be back

We love German food and recently discovered this little gem. My mother used to make Rouladen for my German grandfather, so it was nice to find it on the Schwaben House menu. Turns out, theirs is the best Rouladen I have ever tasted in any restaurant in the USA, and almost as good as my mom’s. Deliciousness paired beautifully with spaetzle and red cabbage. - Yum! This dish alone is worth a visit, but the service and ambience put them at the top of perfection. I wish I lived closer so we could dine there more often.
