My husband took my 11 year daughter to dinner here as her big Christmas gift. She wants to be a chef someday and has been very interested in seeing what the food is like at Scoundrel. They ordered and split the Tomahawk steak, which came with broccoli rabe, salad, duck fat frites, and 3 different sauces. They both came home stuffed and raving about everything they ate, including the creme brûlée they had for dessert 😁

For my daughter, the staff at Scoundrel really went above and beyond, just talking to her and making her feel so welcome there. She was so delighted with the whole experience!

We were super excited to visit Scoundrel especially after they received their Michelin star. Overall everything was ok. The best part of our meal was the beef tartare that was prepared table side. I have worked in and dined at many high end restaurants but the level of refinement and service you would expect from a Michelin star restaurant was not there. Simple things like having to pour our own wine and not having our coats taken when we came in are things that did not happen and should’ve. I fully understand that after the recognition that the restaurant has seen a huge uptick in reservations and patrons but the level of service and quality of food needs to be stepped up.

Amazing experience. Ordered a variety of plates and everything tasted wonderful. From the beef tartare, to the escargot to the duck breast. Service was great. Will be back again.

Wow.......got reservations for new years eve and we knew it was going to be good but the whole experience exceeded my expectations!!!! Atmosphere is fantastic, service above and beyond, the food I have no words to describe.....it as the best meal I have had all year. Ordered the tomahawk and it was cooked perfectly medium, all the sides and sauces delectable, ordered the beef tartar just chefs kiss, and that ceaser salad, probably the best version of it than I have ever had! Finished with their perfect creme brulee!!! Wish I got some good pics but I failed, highly recommend and of course we are going back.

I've loved this place for a long time - but after being educated about foie gras... I will have to pause my support. Foie gras is terrible! 😢

Dissapointed in their unethical practices. Owners clearly only care about making money, and won't do the right thing by animals or their customers.

Very nice, upscale restaurant that has been awarded a Michelin star. French menu without being overly pretentious. They have a great bar with original cocktails and an amazing wine list. I would definitely recommend reservations.

I had been wanting to try scoundrel for a while now and finally made it in. Let me start by saying, the Michelin Star for this place is well deserved. The food…amazing. The drinks amazing. The vibe…I mean I could just sit in there and look at the walls and be happy. It was amazing. Everyone was super friendly and welcoming except for our server, Blake C. He wasn’t rude or anything just not super friendly. He seemed annoyed that we were sat in his section which my guess is we look really young so I’m assuming he thought we weren’t going to tip appropriately. But two of us work in the service industry right up the street so that would never be the case. Honestly, that’s not even what bothered me, it was him trying to boost his check the whole time is what bothered me. I caught it the first time when he tried to force a Caesar salad on our table, which we were getting anyways. But he succeeded the second time by “offering”me a birthday dessert that he made seem like was going to be complimentary but we saw it on the bill. And mind you, I really didn’t even mention it was my birthday,
he overheard me and did that. Overall, it was a great experience and I will definitely be back but just watch out for things like that. I’m not sure if they are trained to do that or if that was just his way of serving. Again, I am in the service industry as well and it just seemed kind of weird but overall 10 out of 10 love the place!

Great spot. I sat at the bar and had great service by Mike.
The food though… AMAZING.
I started with beef tartar and escargot. Then had the scallops and duck.
The duck stole the show.
The crisp on the skin was perfect and the risotto “rice” was the best thing I’ve put in my mouth in years.
I would recommend this to anyone

It is everything you’ve heard and more. Steak Frites and the tableside steak tartare were our favorites. The Miss Moneypenny cocktail was amazing! Jess GM was lovely and her story even better.

I had the beef tartare, the Massachusetts scallops, grandma‘s chocolate cake, and a pistachio dessert on the house. Drew was awesome. So was the sommelier. I could tell they both made a concerted effort to make my time there enjoyable. When you go to a Michelin starred restaurant, it’s not just about the food. It’s the experience. I also witnessed a customer being completely irrational and the way they were handled was so professional and kind. I definitely feel they are deserving of the star that they received.

If you have ever eaten in a Michelin Star restaurant this one is a huge disappointment.
We went there with our company for our holiday party.. and 6 people said food was not good… service was very unwelcoming from start to finish…
Huge disappointment

If you have extensive experience with Michelin star restaurants, such as I do, you will be incredibly disappointed with this place.
The food is as good as your basic level Las Vegas Strip restaurant. The service is atrocious. The fact that I spent well over $600 for two and the table next to me spent $60 speaks volumes. Let’s just say it was cheeseburger service all around. At no point in the evening were we made to feel special or appreciated for our patronage.
The staff here do not work as a team and overhearing their snide remarks about one another, no smiles from the host nor basic courtesy from the bartenders did not add to a so called Michelin experience.
Short of that I won’t go into detail because in today’s economy I don’t want anyone to get fired. I will say, come for the cheeseburger or happy hour specials and you won’t be disappointed. Come here to chase that Michelin Star standard and you may question whether or not this restaurant received a Star because the ceremony was held in Greenville and they had to award one to somebody!
