One of our tried and true downtown Greenville places. We've been coming here for 10 years and always have a great meal. Nice staff. Love sitting on the outdoor patio. ??
First visit. Such a cute quaint cozy place. They also have covered outdoor seating. Apps and entrees were delicious and service was excellent! I had the eggplant stew with cucumber and eggplant apps. Can't wait to go back.
If you are ready to eat different, and not spicy, try this. Seasoned well, not greasy foods. Almost everything is GF. Your tummy always feels good after eating here. And try the Pomegranate Martini!
We enjoyed the complimentary appetizer! It was mint leaves with butter and feta cheese on flat bread! The salmon entree was delicious! It came with rice and a grilled tomato! They have a salt substitute called sumac which adds to the experience. If you are looking for a yummy but healthy experience, then this is your place!
We chose Pomegranate for its menu and proximity to both our hotel and the Peace Center. We chose very well. They start you off with a complimentary order of warm pita and a plate of radishes, butter, cheese, and mint. It was lovely. My husband had the day's special which was Corvino. The presentation was stunning, and he very much enjoyed the preparation. My lamb medallions, although slightly overcooked for my taste, were delicious. We are early in order to make a show. I suspect when the restaurant is full it can get quite noisy, since it was already getting loud when we left. I would absolutely recommend Pomegranate is you are looking for a wonderful meal with great service.
Very good food and service. Dinner was served with saffron rice and cranberries. Could have made a meal out of that by itself. Thought the complimentary pre dinner amuse buche with feta with with fresh mint leaves and radish was a nice touch and very tasty. Portions are large
Great food and reasonably priced. Vegetarian selection was limited although diverse in the ingredients. Service was personalized, prompt and efficient; we were definitely not rushed in ordering or remaining at the table after our meal. The courtyard has a wonderful environment for alfresco dining but the place was loud with most tables full. If desiring a table for two or three, suggest dining away from a large gathering.
We had a great time at Pomegranate on Main. Love the location in Greenville downtown! If you consider yourself a food connoisseur, visiting this restaurant should be on your bucket list to satisfy your taste buds and enjoy the Persian food! The Birthday treat was delicious! Thank you!
Pomegranate on Main is a delightful restaurant in the main drag of Greenville. We got a trio of starters, which were the Shirazi Salad, Borani Spinach, and the Kashk Bademjan. Out of those three, the Borani Spinach was the stand out, but they were all wonderful. Along with the starter we were served something they call “Persian breakfast”, which was a plate of unsalted butter, spinach leaves, radish, and feta to go on their bread. This was a fun addition to the starters and a great way to prepare ourselves for the other flavors to come. For an entree, I had the Veggie Kebob and my partner had the veggie Fensenjan Stew and a side of shrimp. My kebob was perfectly flavored and had an amazing texture to it, and my partner raved over the side of shrimp, saying it was the best she had. The stew was no slouch either. We will definitely be back!
Our favorite place when we come into downtown Greenville! We showed up 30 minutes late and they still seated us right away!! Unbelievable! Few restaurants will do that. Our server was great and food arrived timely and perfectly cooked. The trio of appetizers was tasty as usually and our favorite is the egg plant. As always dinner was delicious! My daughter had her favorite lamb which was cooked perfectly medium rare and she said it was delicious as always. My husband had the grilled salmon with rice and vegetables which he thought was the best salmon he had ever had and he has salmon at least once of week so that was surprising! I had the daily special of seared scallops with a citrus sauce of delicately tender rice with scrumptious cranberries. Must try if you haven't been!!

Service was great! Ben and the girl that was shadowing him did an awesome job!!! The food was great in terms of flavor. However, since I lived in Iran for a number of years I was truly looking for the traditional foods such as abgusht, kuku, and the like. I would have also liked refills of tea and authentic Iranian desserts. Even a piece of gaz would have brought back those wonderful memories of life in Iran.
We had two vegetarian entrees that for $19 each weren't nearly worth the money. They both needed a lot more veggies and lot less rice. Also the place was super-noisy, and kind of dark and drab inside. The waitress was great though.
Excellent service, Debra was wonderful. We sat outside on the sidewalk and absolutely enjoy the Downtown atmosphere. The food was Delicious we both had one of the Stews with rice, the Chicken was so tender, The Persian breakfast Appetizer was Delightful .
Amazing flavor, delicious food and fantastic service! Vegetarian eggplant stew and the scallop special were fantastic. My husband had the beef kabobs and thoroughly enjoyed his as well. We are from out of town. This was our second time there. Definitely will go again when in town.
Always a great healthy meal with amazing flavor. Dillon was our waiter and was awesome! Super attentive, explained all his favorites and was super engaged with what we needed when we needed it!!
