We have been to Soby’s several times in the past and always enjoyed the meals, until last night. We were going to listen to Christmas music at a venue and decided to stop at Soby’s for dinner. We had made a reservation so we were seated promptly and that’s where to good times ended. We waited and waited for a server to at least acknowledge us. Finally after almost 20 minutes of waiting, our server came over and told us she was sorry, she didn’t see us. We ordered a couple of glasses of wine, which again took forever to arrive. We ordered our meals,Soby’ which consisted of the braised pork rib for me and crab cakes for my wife. We also ordered two bowls of their famous she crab soup to start us off. When the soup arrived, it was cold. Notified the waiter who took it away and brought us two fresh bowls of “hot” soup. Nope, cold again. Gave up and ate some of it and left the rest. I have say that when we brought it to their attention, they did take it off the bill. You would think that a restaurant could keep their soup warm. After 40 minutes, our meals finally arrived. Mine came with mashed potatoes that were cool to the touch. The short rib was at least hot, so I ate it. My wife’s plate wasn’t much better. Since we were on a time crunch, we decided to eat it so we could get to our show on time. What a disappointment. Yes they were busy as it was a Saturday night, but that’s no excuse. We even saw a table of four get up and leave as the service was so slow. Soby’s, you need to do better. There are too many restaurants on Main Street for you to provide poor service and cold food.
Wonderful experience with delightful service from the bar staff, including Brandon! All of our cocktails were incredible! We all loved the Key Lime Pie shots! Beautiful environment!
Wonderful restaurant with great food at reasonable prices. My recommendation is to cook the vegetables a little longer as I prefer mine to be softer. The flavors and parings were delicious. I also appreciate honoring of reservations. Thank the team for running the restaurant well.
Soby's has become our favorite place to dine and bring visitors to for a fun and delicious evening out!
Our server (South African gentleman) was exceptional. We had great cocktails, appetizers, entrees and desserts. Loved everything! Kyle made our night special for our out of town friends. We'll definitely return often.
Stefan did an awesome job showing love to my mom on her birthday and the food was awesome! The personalized menu was a great touch!
This place is listed as a place to go when visiting. I can say that it was everything that it boasts it to be.

Recently, my buddy from Charleston came up to visit, and asked where he could take us to dinner. Soby's, from my past experiences, was the choice.
As usual, Soby's didn't disappoint!
Carla served us at a streetside table, and she was wonderful. She recommended two specific dishes, and we each chose one.
As for me? The Braised Spare Ribs were fork-split tender, and my buddy's Grouper was prepared equally as well.
Thanks Soby's and Carla for a great evening!

Visited tonight in part because we had been wanting to ever since we had smelled the crab cakes at Fall for Greenville and in part because they were offering a fantastic Veterans Day special (free meal for the veteran, 35% off for their guests). We ordered she crab soup, crab cakes, and the short rib, and everything was delicious. The crab cakes are some of the best in town (coin flip between them and Rick Erwin’s) and the short rib was tender and flavorful with the best stewed green beans and garlicky mashed potatoes. I also had a wonderful glass of Sangiovese, recommended by my server. We look forward to returning and trying more of the menu!
Thank you @sobysnewsouthcuisine for an AMAZING Veterans Day dinner. Amazing service and top notch service, as always. Sydney-thanks for the perfect service!!

A delightful find in downtown Greenville. 5 stars in all categories. We were a walk-in and were so glad to find a table on the bar. Atmosphere was warm and cozy but still very upscale. The service was immediate. Our server was professio nal and friendly. He really promoted all that Greenville offers. Some might say a salad is just a salad but wait til you try the Tyger River Greens Salad. None better!!! Can't wait to return on our next trip to Greenville. BTW- you can see the Peace Center from this restaurant. Make reservations!
We had a great experience; service was excellent and all 4 of us really enjoyed our meals. We all ordered something different—grouper, steak, shrimp and grits, and fried chicken. All delicious! Also, fried green tomatoes are the best!
Tammy was wonderful and the restaurant did an excellent job of accommodating my mom with a gluten allergy.
Amazing food and service! Best shrimp and grits, short ribs, Brussel sprouts and fried green tomatoes. Banana Cream pie for dessert was amazing! Nice selection of cocktails as well.
