We had our rehearsal dinner at the Upper Room with Southern Way Catering and it was a dream. Laura was so lovely to work with, the food was fantastic, and our event was absolutely perfect. I could not recommend them more!

Southern Way Catering has been delicious for the Clemson football suites ! The employees are helpful , courteous and fun . Also , have had the pleasure of attending a few events in which Southern Way catered the food . It was set up beautifully and tasted great! Looking into using them for a wedding shower.

Southern Way Catering in the Upstate is truly incredible. We had our wedding after Hurricane Helene hit greenville, Jennifer and her team still showed up with amazing food and served at our wedding. They made the expereince amazing and I can't reccomend them enough. The food is great and the service is even better.

Big kudos to this company and staff. I called them 2-3 weeks before my event and they took my order. We had our own menu planned . They worked with us to prepare it the day before and we would pick it up. Then the Sept 2024 storm hit and we thought all was lost. However, they had power and my menu was completed on the day of pick up. We didn't have power and they offered to keep it in their fridge for us til the day of the party. Again another Big kudos to the chef and his staff. The food was good. They worked with our budget and made changes without any issues. PS I do not give 5 stars due to fake reviews.

I am so excited to write this review to brag on Lauren Riehle and her team at The Southern Way from the bottom of our hearts. The food was FANTASTIC! We have been told by many of our guests that cocktail hour was so amazing they didn't want to head up the hill to the reception which I think drove our planner crazy, but they said the charcuterie board was absolutely amazing! We can't wait to see pictures :) Many guests also bragged about how they would set a glass down and turn around and it had already been picked up by one of the team members. We were so pleased with the menu - I truly couldn't pick a favorite! We are so thrilled with everything from start to finish and just wanted to write this review to publicly brag on The Southern Way and say thank you for everything you and your team did to make our day special!

We used Southern Way Catering for our wedding at the USC alumni center and we were very happy with the service! They had extensive menus to choose from, so you could find exactly what you wanted to serve! The food we ordered was well prepared, tasty, hot, fresh and exactly what we were hoping for. They were helpful and communicative. Highly recommend them for big events.

Choosing Southern Way Catering for our wedding was one of our best decisions. They exceeded our expectations with exceptional food and service. Our sales rep, Tori, was terrific. She visited the venue to preview everything and help us plan the flow. A big plus is their menu full of variety, and they offer a selection of foods that are not Southern despite their name — lots of fresh vegetables and fruits, fresh fish, and thoughtful and interesting hor d'oeuvres. We plan on hiring them for a dinner party soon.

We had Southern Way Upstate cater our wedding on March 9, 2024. To start, the food was great. Some of the best catered food we have ever had. The service though, was lacking. For starters, the staff had a scheduled time to show up at 2:30. No one was there. Our wedding planner, moms, and bridesmaids were calling with no response. At about 3:00, they showed up and started demanding us (bride and groom) to move since our photo location was blocking the entrance. Very unprofessional considering they were late. Secondly, our timeline specifically stated that at 6:00, the stations were supposed to open. Being the bride and groom, we went first and about half of the food was set out. One of the staff members told me that they were under the impression that dinner was happening after the speeches and cake cutting (??). They hurried to get everything out and I was served cold biscuits and tacos. Again, they were good, but I would rather have my food hot. After everyone had eaten and cakes were starting to be served, I had noticed that trash was all over the tables still. No plates had been cleared, food was everywhere. At this point (about an hour and a half into the reception), all of the food was put in one corner on a table. We had 3 tables set up for our food stations and were told by Tori at all of our planning meetings that the stations would be open for 3 hours, not 1.5. As the reception went on and it was time for our exit, I was walking around handing out my pre-written tip envelopes and to much surprise, again, no one knew where the catering team was. Come to find out they left about an hour earlier and told no one. All of the leftover food was thrown away (we payed for 100, about 75 showed up). We were told we would have leftovers which we were very excited for, but all of it was thrown away and we lost out on about $700 worth of food. I have no idea who was at the actual event as it was not anyone that we had spoken to during the planning meetings and no one introduced themselves. It truly seemed like none of them wanted to be there and it showed with the late arrival and early leave time. With the food being so good, we just wish the service would have been better.

We chose Southern Way because they did a great job for a friend's wedding in Columbia. We live in Greenville and the folks here did an outstanding job at our daughter's wedding a few weeks ago. We had short ribs, a taco station and chicken thighs, and all were fantastic. I can't recommend Southern Way enough!
