Jen the older batista in the separate coffee shop needs at best serious training and at worst relocated to a non customer facing position. She insulted me for asking which drink was which. It was a simple question as I didn't order the drinks and wanted to hand them to the correct person.

I can't say enough great things about this place. The coffee was great and the selection of locally produced items, produce, and pastries was really surprising. And the staff are some of the most helpful and friendly I've ever encountered. This is a must-visit for locals and visitors to Greenville!

I don't live in Greenville, but I wish I did. My daughter lives in Greenville. When I visit, I love to stop at Swamp Rabbit!! There is always something new. The food and beverage selections are wonderful. I love discovering new favorites. The coffee is always great! The craft markets that set up seasonally are always a joy to shop at. Greenville is an amazing place, and Swamp Rabbit is at the heart of it!

S/o to Emily at the register and Kennedy in the kitchen for making our first experience here so incredible. We rolled up to an unexpected number of people at ~2 PM on a Monday (so you know the food is 👌) but the ordering process was so smooth and quick—you can tell everyone working the registers is a professional. Emily gifted us a loaf of their in-house bread for our first visit, and suggested we check out their art gallery with depictions of the bread worked into parodies of famous portraits. Hands down one of the best places we went in Greenville, thank y’all so much!
Great variety of healthy food and delicious pastries . Don’t forget to get your apple and cookie pie …

I went to the Swamp Rabbit coffee bar today for the first time. I had my puppy with me and there is a sign on the door that says dogs are not allowed. A stranger outside held my puppy’s leash so I could go in and order an iced coffee. I had mentioned to them that I needed to go outside to wait for it while they made it because I had a dog with me and I couldn’t bring him in. I stood out there for a while and never knew my iced latte was sitting on the pick up ledge. There were 4 workers inside and no customers in line. They were all just talking with each other. Knowing my drink was sitting there and I had a dog, could one of them not have run it out to me?? I would think that with 4 workers, they could have extended some customer service. Seems hard to come by these days with younger workers. ☹️
There are two other coffee shops I go to where you can bring your dog inside to order so I will frequent those.

This place is next to a river and a walkway. You can tell the locals love this place. It has a lot of local offerings in the grocery mart adjoining the outdoor eating space. They encourage a healthy lifestyle.
The mart is small, but adequate. The cafe is mainly cafeteria style. Order from a menu above their heads and wait for your lunch. While waiting you can walk the trail, ride a bike, or sit at the outdoor table as Amish style.
The food is spectacular. We had the egg and cheese sandwich on their signature bread and it was umami. We ate there a second time just for their sandwiches.
If you are in the Greenville area and are looking for a great outdoor experience, check this place out!
Parking: Not many spots, but the rotation seems pretty quick.
Kid-friendliness: There is a play space for the kids next to the trail.
