I went here with my wife and not only was the service unforgiving, but they also charged an automatic 52% tip on a $15 takeout bill hours after I had left the restaurant. I called to correct the transaction and was met with disrespect and was offered no help. Check your credit card bills if you EVER decide to waste your money at this "restaurant."

The macaroni tasted burnt and dry. The pork chop tasted like air. They had the nerve to charge a 15% gratuity charge on a to go order that was already $77.00. When asked they claim it automatically do that. My issue is why am I paying gratuity for a to go order! That is not okay! You already are charged a convenience fee, hospitality tax and sales tax.
Trassssh. Ox tails, bland, mostly bone, chewwwy. Collards bland af. Mac bland, brunt, heavy on the dry! Yams way too sweet. Drink was really good though, perfect lemonade/iced tea mix. After nearly $30 and my dog getting the better experience?! Won’t come

My first and last time here. I ordered take out and i bought the oxtail dinner which included mac n cheese, collard greens, rice, cornbread, and choc. cake, banana pudding. The oxtails had more bone then meat. It was more like bone smothered with rice n gravy. A big disapointment. I come from out of town and i was searching for a place and i picked this place. Collard greens was tasteless and dry. Corn bread was dry, and the banana pudding wasnt any better. The choc. Cake was probaly the only thing that was ok. My gut told me not to come when i spoke to the woman on the phn . The vibe on the phn and in person wasnt good. She appeared to have a rude attitude. No customer service. A cold attitude. If she was cute the attitude killed that . I wasted 30$ on trash!!! Next time i crave soulf food i will drive to Big daddys in ATL its worth the drive. The best soul food i ever had. Its worth every cent. Everything is great The service, food, and the resturaunt is clean. 5 stars. Tasty take notes. Im so pissed i wanted 2 take the food back. Never again.

Y’all lied the food wasn’t giving. I went around 1:50pm on a Saturday and was told macaroni wasn’t done. They open at 12 pm. So it wasn’t prepared? the ox tails weren’t cooked to perfection hard to chew. The yams were cut huge. I really wanted this to be good and it wasn’t. Felt like I ate some slop. Fed oxtails to my dog. Do not recommend. Oh yeah I paid over$20 for this.
I usually stop on my way home from work, so I miss all the soul food meals. The after 10pm menu is just as good. The young lady hostess is always very friendly. I am going to make it my business to stop by on my day off (before 10pm) to sample the rest of the menu. Lois H.

My wife and I were looking for and is still looking for a place where we can get some home style fish. This might be the place we have been back several times and we like the service, the people, the atmosphere and the fish only. One thing they don't have for me is clam chowder. I'm looking for a place where they have good old clam chowder. We will be back every Friday at least to this place until we find another one

They gave us the wrong food after we waited an hour. And it wasn’t busy.. but after the wait I can say that my shrimp plate (and the rest) wasn’t worth it. Cold fries, squishy shrimp. Won’t be back :(
