The Clock Restaurant - Congaree

Pulled into drive thru for a chili dog plate. Simple, right? Kid behind mic mumbles something about “no wiener.” I repeated the order, a chili dog plate. Again, some unintelligible comment involving the fact that there may NOT be a hot dog involved, here. I asked again for clarification, and was rudely informed that they DID apparently have some form of hot dog plate, that DID come with chili. Completely confused, I agreed to whatever I was being forced to order, and asked for a Diet Coke. Kid said, and I quote, “Nah. We don’t even have Coke products.” I politely cancelled my order, and tried to leave. Kid was hanging out of the drive thru, trying to get my attention. I explained that I shouldn’t need to argue to buy food, to which he replied, “I’m not trying to argue!” After successfully getting out of his way, I pulled into the next parking lot to call the manager, to explain what had just happened. The person claiming to be the manager was every bit as prickly as the drive thru attendant, and began trying to explain that they apparently have some form of “chili dog” on their menu that does NOT involve a hot dog. WHICH IS FINE. Just don’t be rude and evasive, while doing a terrible job of explaining this truly odd choice. And when customers call in to share a negative experience (politely), you may want to listen. I spent 35 years in foodservice, and this is NOT how it’s done.

I'm a chef. I tend to be critical of my food but this is my third time eating at this clock with zero complaints.

Absolutely love this clock! They have the most polite and amazing staff! The food is always 10/10. I really just wanted to brag about the staff! They really are the sweetest and i can’t say how many times I’ve left the drive thru with either a giggle or a smile on my face after having a really rough day! I am a frequent flyer there and they always seem to be in a great mood and just all around happy! Thank you for always being so funny and sweet it really does make a difference🩷

Horrible experience ruined our entire family's dinner try to get them to replace it told us that they would not be doing anything about it that nothing was wrong with it even though the entire order was either burnt undercooked completely wrong missing items and almost an animal when I called his boat to the manager I was completely disrespected and cursed out and then told that unless I brought back in the food that I still wouldn't get a replacement all I was asking for was just a replacement not even a refund do not ever set foot in this facility or than this drive through I've been to many clocks and many restaurants all over the upstate and this clock and this franchise family owned business is the worst business I've ever been to by far and the worst customer service and the worst quality food by far and I do not say that lightly save your money and do not go and waste your money there do not support them and go somewhere else that actually treat you like human beings and serves good food and has good customer service cuz this place is absolute nightmare!!

I ordered the wrong thing and they fixed it mo questions asked. Even gave me money back. Few restaurants have customer service like that and the food is always hot and ready when I order over the phone.

They have the best burgers in Greenville! My daughter and I go there every Saturday. We he service is always friendly and accurate. Dining area is clean and welcoming.

Drive-thru: Ordered Bacon Cheeseburger plate, Fried Mushrooms, Okra, Greek Salad & their Cheesecake. Everything was incredible & fresh. I personally really enjoyed the salad. Sometimes the wait can be longer when you order a lot in drive-thru's but today it was quick.

I do not mind having to wait for my food. But it is absolutely ridiculous that they will refuse to provide you with a COURTESY cup of WATER while you sit in this HEAT waiting fir them to bring food to the five cars already lined up. While two kitchen staff hang out back smoking in their aprons and gloves. I understand charging me for a water if I ordered it. But if I am asking for based on you're causing the circumstance, then there should be some type of courtesy. Without the attitude of the young lady at the drive through window.
