Just an all-around great place for friends and family to spend some time together. Or find a place off to yourself and chill

Fun place with lots of choices for food and drink, everything from breakfast baked goods at Methodical Coffee/Bakery to lunch and dinner. Lots of outdoor seating, too, so bring your pups.

This is a wonderful place to bring your family wide open spaces in the middle of the city. Adequate parking several restaurant options and a bicycle shop with bike rentals makes this a very convenient place for those of us who enjoy the outdoors.

Great place but beware of AGGRESSIVE PARKING ENFORCEMENT. The commons is such a great place and I love going there. However, parking is an issue. Commons has grown tremendously in size since it opened and very little parking was added. With increased employees and events, parking gets really hard. The front of the building is 30 minute parking which is strictly enforced. If you drive up you will likely see parking enforcement giving people tickets and those spots empty. There can be absolutely no available spots at times and if you overstay a timed spot, you will get a ticket and can get multiple tickets. I really hate this has affected the enjoyment of such a great place but the aggressive parking enforcement by the city has made commons a stressful place to go. I personally visit often and have seen a huge drop off in the number of people there including families at the park because of the known parking issues and fears of getting aggressive tickets with parking enforcement circling the lots constantly. And if you overstay, they calculate how long since they marked you and issue as many tickets as they can at one time. I understand the need but it is overkill and really destroying such an amazing place. Still 5 stars and sad visiting has gotten so difficult.

Great selection but there are no fans outside and it can get hot! There's food for everyone here, but the noise level is loud, especially on weekends! Also the secondary area that just opened up smells a lot like barbequed meat and it can be distracting.
I recommend the Indian butter chicken taco at Automatic Taco and the French toast at Golden Brown & Delicious

You really can’t beat the atmosphere and location of the commons. We love stopping by for coffee, a snack, or a beer and then taking the swamp rabbit trail to Greenville. Staff is always super friendly.
