So check me out. This will be a little bit of a long review, but trust me, it's accurate.

First of all, I'm a man born and raised in South Louisiana. Lafayette and New Orleans.

I have never in my life had a worse etoufee. I got the gator po boy (which was actually pretty good), a couple of crawfish etoufee and a cup of seafood gumbo.

The etoufee tasted like it was made with turkey gravy. I may be biased because my mother makes the best etoufee in the world, but holy crap it was a legitimate 1/10. There were three pieces of crawfish.

The gumbo was thin. And I don't mean like a little thin. I mean anorexic thin. And completely and utterly BLAND. When I want a gumbo, I expect to at LEAST get a 4/10 on the spice scale. I understand that my preference of 6/10 isn't for everyone. But this thing was a solid 2/10. And that's being generous.

Idk, when I tried this place several years ago, I wasn't impressed. I gave it another try and was completely let down. I asked the staff if anyone working there was from Louisiana. They said no.
As a real Cajun, I do NOT recommend.

I'm not sure about the atmosphere. But we got food delivered thought we ordered a quart of tea. Ever got a tea I see a gallon of tea so I'm guessing that's what it was meant to be either way we never got that also paid for a salad got the salad with just lettuce in it .

We come here almost every month on a Sunday and we took my mom here 3-4 times when she was here visiting from the Philippines. Today, it was just me, my husband and my kids as my mom already went back home. The server immediately asked and mentioned my mom (saying something like Mama is not here today?). It was really sweet and impressive that they recognized and noticed the customers. Plus the food is really good, my youngest daughter always asks after church to come here for fried fish. Highly recommended!

This is exactly what I look for in a place to go out to. Greeted at the door treated like your part of the restaurant family and amazing FOOD. The servers and cooks get a perfect 10 !!!!

For $30+, I got:
2 Baby Shrimp
3 Jumbo (not large really) Shrimp
2 Small Fried Oysters
2 Small Pieces of Random Whitefish
8oz or so of soggy fries
3 incredibly small pieces of stale, untoasted, unseasoned, store-bought baguette loaf the size of a biscuit in TOTAL.

This was the price of one meal, not extras, nothing fancy. I usually go to Silver Bay, and they certainly have fantastic food, prices, and service. But I thought it would be nice to try a new place. This was twice the cost of a Seafood platter with a quarter of the food from Silver Bay or any decent fish camp.

I wish I'd just gone to Silver Bay. I could have gotten a family pack with boxes of delicious and well-cooked fish, a box of baby shrimp, a box of chicken tenders, sides, drinks, for $10 more than this child's-apportioned-platter from the Lost Cajun.

The Lost Cajun lost their mind to charge more than $30 for $5 worth of seafood.

Service was good, but food was blah. Had crab bites....these were not very good. Hardly any crab and these were just weird. Hush puppies were tiny and forgettable. I had seafood platter. Nothing was seasoned even a tiny bit.....fish was pretty good, oysters were tiny and shrimp was decent. Fries were just standard nothing to write home about. Had fried okra as appetizer. Have never seen fried okra in just flour batter. Typically it's battered in cornmeal. Fried okta was tasteless nit even a little seasoning. Don't mind paying for a meal if it's worth it, but this clearly was not worth. It was a choice between chipolte and this place and wish I had chose chipolte it would have been alot cheaper and I would have know what I was getting.

Always consistent. The food portion and quality is so good despite the economy. Reliably great!

This has become one of our favorite seafood spots in the Southeast. It’s downtown Grenville with a great view of the city street action. The vibe and atmosphere would rival any restaurant but the low country brick aesthetics will blow you away. As for food, oh my goodness- what a surprise! For starters, they allow guest to taste the gumbo sampler- Nice touch. We had grilled oysters, the fried seafood platter with shrimp, oysters and flounder- outstanding!!! The drink list was excellent and the prices were reasonable. We also had their beignets; not New Orleans but tasty. This place is a serious “must try” if you’re in Greenville and have a taste for good seafood.

Looking for a bite to eat after our flight and chose this spot for a Sunday evening dinner. I started off by washing my hands in a fairly nasty bathroom and then learned that the server didn’t know dairy free included milk. (She thought it only referred to cheese).

The food at our table has mixed reviews. One meal was inaccurate, two were decent, and two were below average.

It seems they knew how to work a deep fat fryer and nothing else.

I would never choose this restaurant again.

The food was good. I had the shrimp and grits. I do not like anything spicy. Boo really doesn't either. We met my brother and his family here. They love the spice the more the better. Most of the menu was spicy to very spicy. I had to ask the waitress for help. I wanted the pasta but she said it was spicy. To play it safe I went with the shrimp and grits. The grits were excellent the shrimp were cooked properly. I enjoyed mine. Boo got something in a bowl. I can't remember but he enjoyed it (Jambalaya). We got the alligator bites as an appetizer. They were good just not a lot. Did not last long with my 5 year little redhead. I told her it tasted like chicken. She tried one and put most of them on her plate. It was fine we didn't mind sharing. My sister-in-law is a vegetarian. She ordered a lot of different dishes. My brother got something spicy. Little Red had chicken tenders with fries. The tables were very close together. It was a very small space and they had a lot of televisions. While the food was good. This is not a place I would pick to go back to. Only due to most of the dishes being spicy.

Kid-friendliness: They have a kids menu with crayons.

Wheelchair accessibility: Easy access for a wheelchair or walker.
