Disappointing Experience at One5 — Stick with the 07 Instead
Whenever I’m in Greenville, my go-to spot is always the 07 — especially for their incredible Brussels salad. This trip, we decided to change things up and try One5 instead. Unfortunately, it was a decision I deeply regret.
The evening started off well enough — the appetizers and drinks were great, and the atmosphere was promising. But things quickly went downhill with the entrees. Our party of four ordered two of the steak specials and two of the fish specials. I was told the fish would be similar to sea bass, but what I received was a large, flavorless piece of cod. It lacked the delicate texture and richness of sea bass entirely.
As for the steak, both my husband and his friend were disappointed — their steaks were severely undercooked and drenched in oil, to the point that neither of them could finish their meals.
The worst part? I ended up with food poisoning from dinner — I’ve now been sick for over 12 hours, which is something I’ve never experienced after a meal out.
While I always recommend the 07 to friends visiting Greenville, I can’t say the same for One5. Between the misleading menu descriptions, poor execution, and the price point, this was a serious letdown. I won’t be returning — and I won’t be recommending it either.

My mother and I are visiting from out of town and heard incredible reviews about this place. We walked over from our hotel and SO glad we did. The food was incredible, staff was beyond patient, kind, and provided a great atmosphere. I want to address the two negative reviews (from the same party, they are just really trying to bring down this establishment) below because my mother and I were unfortunately sat near such a hateful group of women. Their topics of conversation were crude, shallow, and they had a lot of comments around the demographic of those that were serving them. Our server was in tears because of the racist behavior of this group, yet she handled their hate with grace. The staff were not talking bad about the woman, they were trying to assess how to de-escalate such an unnecessary temper tantrum. What really set the group off was the cake charge and they decided to use that as grounds to call their server explicit insults - truly appalling behavior. They called the manager over and the manager, Anna, was quick to sternly and strongly defend her employee who was bullied by a table she was trying to serve. Anba did not yell, she did not raise her voice, and remained professional. Those were not the actions of the unhinged, hateful woman that slammed her things down, slammed the restaurant door, and threatened to “go off” several times, all while calling the staff as many degrading insults she could come up with.
I will be (traveling 3+ hours) back to support this establishment again and again because of the fantastic service and top-tier meals. I hope the family below finds it in their hearts to address & work to change the truly embarrassingly and extremely harmful behavior they exhibited this evening. I would anticipate not so many birthdays would be “ruined”, if they would work to be a bit more kind and not throw temper tantrums in public.

We have had the best experience at The One5 tonight! Dinner was excellent, and the staff were amazing! We sat beside a lady who was yelling and being extremely rude, and the manager came over and handled the situation in a very professional manner despite the attitude being thrown at him. We will be recommending this restaurant to our friends and family as well as frequenting ourselves! Thank you for the pleasant experience!

The food was over priced. The steaks were cold, the chicken and vegetables, the chicken was dry. The wings were the smallest wings ever. The tuna tartare was the only thing that was okay. The service was non existent. The atmosphere was overly loud. Will never eat her again. The price of the food does not even come close to the quality.

We tried this restaurant for my husband's birthday. It was our first time there. We were very pleased with our meals. I had halibut and my husband had the salmon. Both were prepared to perfection. And what can I say about sweet Kennedy, our server? She was wonderful. We will definately be coming back.

Stunning lunch and dinner spot tucked away on the Hartness property. Loved their lunch menu options and the seared tuna sandwich. Great vibe and upscale casual atmosphere. The bar program clearly values quality with fresh juices and great ingredients. 10/10
Dined here last minute for a nice date night and here are my thoughts:
*The baked Brie was delicious!! *The scallops were very good but pretty expensive considering the overall portion. I guess I was expecting more sweet potatoes along with the scallops. Presentation was beautiful. ?The pesto fusilli was not that great.. a bit bland for my taste. I don’t recommend this dish. *The chocolate cake was delicious!! *The service was ok. I think our waitress may of had too many tables *The cocktails were good *The atmosphere was upscale yet also a bit casual. Everyone was dressed differently— some very casual (in jeans) and others dressed up. The environment is very loud inside.
Overall it was a nice last minute date night

Cool, upscale atmosphere, friendly. welcoming, and competent staff. Modern American food with a creative international twist, perfectly cooked and beautifully presented. We had the tuna tartare, steak with fingerling potatoes, and the burger. Good wine and beer menu. It was a 100% lovely experience- we will be back.

When going to the one expect to have food that is food and drinks that provide a fusion of flavors. The service was good though I felt having the bartender being my server did change how the service was for. I would say the food is worth trying but for more of a fine dining experience the elevation from the seasonings/sauces was not there. The drinks were also something I didn’t really care for to the degree of a cocktail bar experience I desired.

A solid 4 ⭐️. It's nice to have a fine dining restaurant without going downtown. We ate here with another couple. My thoughts: Cocktails are weak. I had 2 different gin drinks, one from their cocktail menu and a GT. Though tasty, there was either very little gin or it was diluted. 2 drinks are my limit, but I could have had 4 before feeling any effects. At $14 and $9, I felt like I drank juice and tonic water. The food: Brussel Sprouts Salad was amazing 5⭐️ Burrata Salad 3/4⭐️. The tomato wedges were weird. It would be better with roasted heirloom grape tomatoes. Tuna Tartare: 4⭐️ Prawns: 4⭐️ Salmon: 4⭐️ NY Strip: 4⭐️, fingerling potatoes were bland, a different carb would be better Halibut Special: 3⭐️. Overcooked Burger: 2⭐️ below average Fried Pound Cake: 4⭐️ It was deconstructed, which was a bit weird. The taste was good, but the deconstruction wasn't needed and made it more awkward to eat. Atmosphere is nice, but it did get warm inside. Waitress was great!
