I first want to say that I am a big fan of The Pound Cake Man. I have visited the Clemson location and the truck many times and have had slices, cupcakes and whole cakes. I have never had a bad cake. Today I convinced my office to try a whole cake from the Greenville location and was disappointed. I'm sure that compared to other pound cakes this cake was great but it certainly was not the cake that I am used to. I love the original pound cake man. I know it’s the same one , but I have tried this place several times like I loved the pound cake originally in the food trucks- I have even purchased whole ones for Christmas for years, not sure why these are so dry and different. Maybe someone else is among them? I know a lot can go into baking and it’s a science. We had the best breakfast here. You could see & taste it was made fresh. The pound cake sample was truly amazing! We purchased 1/2 doz of assorted cupcakes to share with family & friends. Very fresh & delicious!
