Update: The issue was resolved by owner after contacted. They said it was an input mistake by the server... In any case the extra tip was refunded. Take pictures of your receipts whenever you dine out.
Original Review: Beware of shady tipping practices. I took a photo of my receipt on August 9th where I clearly circled the 20% tip option and wrote down a clear 43.54 total. I woke up today to a warning from my bank of a higher tip than expected. The server at V&V entered 50.34 as my total giving themselves a 33% tip. I’m appalled at this horrible business practice. Check your receipts if you come to this establishment. I am so disappointed.

Found this gem by accident and we're so glad we did. Beautiful and lush, and the vault history is fascinating. The Purple Reign was out of this world delicious! We had to look up Ube and still couldn't describe what this amazing concoction would be likened to. Very unique. Hope to return and have one again some day.

I really enjoy coming here. The vibe is so relax and the dim lighting adds to the ambience. And most importantly their drinks are delicious and not watered down. They can be a bit pricey as I paid 30 bucks for two cocktails but its worth it once in a while.

Was told disdainfully that it would be at least 20 minutes before we could get a drink.
I get the exclusivity of the establishment, but the flippant nature of the service was very off-putting.

I love the speakeasy atmosphere—cool, intimate, and stylish. The bartenders always get it right. I had a mojito this time, and it was incredibly refreshing on a hot summer day. The perfect spot to unwind on a weekday after work.

We decided to try the place based on the speakeasy description. Drinks were okay. Decided to leave after the first round of drinks because it took so long to get service again. Kind of surprising because it was not a busy night. Did notice that one of the bartenders was consistently working though so it may have just been our waitress wasn't good that night. With tip, spent over $40 for two drinks.

Cool speak easy in a basement just off the main drag
I did the private cocktail class with Andrea and genuinely had such an amazing time. I learned so much and it was such a fun experience well worth the money. Andrea is such an amazing teacher and is so creative. I did this with my Boyfriend and he was blown away with it too. Her sour is INSANE. The Purple Reign is also so unique and amazing. Thank you so much Andrea.

This bar is super cool. The service is amazing and the staff is super friendly. I will definitely give this bar a 5 star. Note to owner.. the barstools make no sense. They are really uncomfortable. I m 5ft 7 and couldn’t put my arms on the bar because the stool is too low. Seems like an easy fix.

The bartenders are fantastic a their charisma and creativity are amazing to watch. Would definitely recommend going if you can get in. We let them create our own drinks and they did not disappoint!

The bar is behind the buildings, but it is easy to locate. The place is small, but welcoming. There are not that many seats so a lot of people were waiting or left. The service was good, nothing out of the ordinary. The drinks were good, they have plenty to choose from and they are well made. Even though the bar does not focus on food, from the items they had most of them were not available. Pretty much only the pimento and crackers was the only item available. If you’re gonna offer food, should be a standard to have all of them available. Overall, would only recommend to come for a drink and not food of course. Honestly, would not come back until food situation is fixed.
