Vegan House Shack @ Planted by Faith

My family and I tried 7 different menu items, several sides, and a couple of sauces. ALL OF IT WAS PHENOMENAL!!! Easily as good or better than any other vegan restaurant food we've ever had. We don't live in South Carolina, but anytime we are in the area, this place will be a must stop! It was easy to order, clean, great atmosphere, the staff was super friendly, and the food was so good. All the stars!

Looking at the menu online and noting all the fried options, I was concerned that the dishes would be very heavy on oil based on past experiences at other restaurants. I can assure you that you can put those concerns aside. Fantastically seasoned breading that had a great crunch, didn't absorb the oil and didn't allow the oil to saturate the inner ingredients. Fried oyster mushrooms were a work of art. The seitan used for the wings, which is house made, was also very well executed and flavored. I also admit to being skeptical about the venue which is co-located with a church. However, once you go upstairs to the restaurant, you met with the cool sound of jazz music and an inviting atmosphere that was carefully and creatively decorated. You wouldn't know you were in a church. I will be returning customer. Updated from previous review on 2025-05-30

Not our first time having lunch at Vegan House Shack. The menu is extensive and we have NEVER been disappointed. Today we got the fried mushrooms with ranch to share, phenomenal!! My son got the nachos, my dil got the Nashville Hot chick-un sandwich and I got the crunch wrap...all three meals were delicious! Can't wait to go back. 100% recommend...even if you're a carnivore, you'll be happy! Run, don't walk to Vegan House Shack!

Food is fresh and Delicious! The Kale Salad now has me addicted! Crunchy and with the roasted walnuts, Oh My Goodness!

The food is amazing and it is such a a cute place. Definitely recommend this place to vegans and non-vegans.

That might have been the best sandwich I’ve had ever! The mushrooms were seasoned and fried to perfection! The house sauce on it was amazing! Highly recommend it!

Hello vegan friends I am from Houston, Texas. I am down with my husband. He is possibly going to take a job here. We are here, January 15th –18 2025. I was looking for a vegan place and found another place but did not go there. I know now why because I was meant to meet this beautiful family that owns this restaurant. I have been vegan for 5 1/2 years and I ordered the southwestern burger and fries I have never had a burger that taste so delicious and fresh and the fries OH MY GOODNESS!! It was all SO very good!!!! I had to call them and tell them how amazing that it was! I will hopefully be back tomorrow and try something different because if the burger is that good, I can only imagine what the rest of the food taste like!! Vegan? You will love the is place. Not vegan? You will love this place. They have upgraded from a food truck to a section of Planted by Faith where they have kitchen and dining room with plenty of seating. You can order at the kiosk or from the table. All menu with items are made fresh! They offer things like tacos, burgers, salads and even desserts. We had tacos, the taco quesadilla w/ fries and phish sandwich w/ sweet potato fries- all were delicious! The food is so flavorful. Don’t pass up a chance to eat here!

I finally got a chance to visit the Vegan House Shack today. We I tell you please do not walk to this place, RUN full speed! The Vegan House Shack was so welcoming and clean. I ordered online (2) 5 piece wing plate with a side of fries and toast🤤🤤. The food was delicious 😋. As a Vegan eater, I will be ordering again. Sidebar: if you ever consider opening past 5:00 p.m., this would be so great💕. Thank you for all you do! I'll post my plate next time before I go to town, lol.
