The service is slow, make sure you prepare to wait, the dishes I ordered were delicious 😋 I enjoyed it I will go back. I felt like I could have been treated more like a customer the waiter actually took of before I was done ordering my food but I did enjoy the food.

I'm sorry for whoever cooked or prepared this food. This food was really tasteless, and I think y'all shouldn't ever prepare Jollof rice ever again. Who even cooked the tilapia, omg...that was trash and tasteless too...this is going to my first and last time I would ever order food from this place

A Wonderful Dining Experience at Wakanda Restaurant
During our vacation in Greenville, SC, my family and I had the pleasure of dining at Wakanda Restaurant, and it was an unforgettable experience! My wife ordered the goat meat soup with fufu, my son enjoyed the chicken stew with rice, and I opted for the fish with atieke. As fans of African cuisine, this wasn’t our first visit to an African restaurant, but Wakanda truly stands out.

From the moment we walked in, we were impressed by the elegant décor and ambiance—reminiscent of a high-class restaurant. The professionalism of the staff was exceptional, and the warm, welcoming atmosphere made our visit even more enjoyable.

The food? Absolutely amazing! Each dish was bursting with authentic flavors and cooked to perfection. Despite the upscale feel, the prices were very affordable, which made the experience even better.

I genuinely wish we had a restaurant like Wakanda in Atlanta. Until then, we’ll cherish this fantastic experience and highly recommend Wakanda to anyone visiting Greenville.

Keep up the amazing work, Wakanda team—you’ve set a new standard for African dining!

I would have never written a bad review on this place because I love them and have been enjoying their food since they were cooking out of the African grocery store BUT my last 2 or 3 experiences have been bad ..I order every week sometimes 3x a week Egusi mixed with spinach stew and 2 orders of fufu ....the fufu has become half the size so instead of getting 1 it's now more like getting 1 SMH....I always ask for NO meat because I recently had my teeth done and can't chew THEY GAVE ME EXTRA MEAT that was tough ...I took it back the next day showing them ALL the meat (hardly no stew) AND WAS CHARGED FULL PRICE for them to fix my order (a shame) ....not to mention the complications on door dash with my order (not getting my complete order) and having to order something else to insure I get the order that was missing ....I love this place but THEY HAVE TO DO BETTER ...the food is a little pricey for these issues....
On the bright side CoCo her, husband , Edward and the rest of the staff are always pleasant

⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐
I recently dined at Wakanda, and it was an unforgettable experience! The flavors of the West African cuisine were absolutely authentic and vibrant. Every dish was crafted with care, from the perfectly seasoned jollof rice to the tender suya that practically melted in my mouth.

The atmosphere was warm and welcoming, with a perfect blend of modern elegance and cultural charm. The staff were attentive, knowledgeable, and made me feel like a valued guest.

If you’re looking for a culinary journey that’s both delicious and culturally rich, Wakanda is the place to go. This is more than just a meal—it’s an experience. I’ll definitely be back to explore more of their incredible menu!

I went to get dinner with a friend. When we got inside the girl at the bar looked like she was doing everything. We seated ourselves at a booth. It was at least 10min possibly 15 before we finally had menus brought to the table with a partial greeting as she was walking away. Our server had come back to the table a few minutes later and got our food and drink orders. We sat for another 10min or so before we actually got our drinks. (There were several dashers coming in to get to go orders, she is doing everything alone) after what felt like an hour the food finally came out the egusi soup wasn't as hot as I expected it to be considering the wait time. We decided to take the rest with us after tasting. I attempted to get our servers attention by looking in her direction but she was walking towards the restroom to clean it with a bottle of bleach and gloves on. When we finally got her attention to get the boxes she was holding a cleaning broom she still had gloves on, she did not take the gloves off she pulled at them to bring them further up her hand. I was immediately disgusted why not remove the gloves before you approach our table and your touching the cleaning broom then go to grab my to go box that I'm taking my food in with the same gloves on. Not sure if they are the gloves that were used to clean the restroom or not either way remove the gloves and give your hands a quick wash after people have visibly seen you cleaning then go straight back to dealing with their food. All the food was left on the table we didn't take anything but upset stomachs. I think she was just overwhelmed had to much going on but that was disgusting!

This was by far the best African cuisine I have ever tasted. I came here because of the name of the business without looking at the menu. When I arrived, it was if crossed over the international waters with leaving the states. The bathroom was awful, it smelled, and the appearance and cleanliness were not up to par. I highly recommend a plug in air freshener for both bathrooms. Secondly, my waiter was overworked. On Sundays it needs to be at least two people serving customers. I came this first time, and I would gladly return, but I see only one person working the front counter. I guarantee I'm not ordering. Lastly, I ordered a beef patty to allow time for jerk lamb to cook. I ate the patty and did not receive my drink for at least another 15 minutes after ordering. My throat was very dry in the time in between.
