We went in after buffet hours expecting to order from the menu, but they hadn't broken down the hot bar and offered a good price on that if we wanted it. There was still plenty there so we went for it. I say all that to say, we couldn't tell that this had been out for a while, everything tasted great! It was Friday, so there was whole catfish: crispy on the outside, moist and flaky on the inside. The other meats and veggies were just what you want from a soul food place. The owners were very friendly and made it a pleasant visit. When we're back near Greenwood, they'll be on our radar.

I came after lunch time around 2pm. However, I was still very pleased with the buffet options. I had the meatloaf, macaroni and cheese, butter and lima beans, collards, cabbage, and peach cobbler for dessert. It was all very tasty, seasoned well. The beans were probably my favorite.
The staff were friendly and welcoming. The food was reasonably priced! I can’t wait til the next time I’m in the area to go again!

I tried to give them the benefit without a doubt for the lack of service, but as I got ready to pay for my food, which I didn't eat because my stomach started hurting. As I was explaining to the cashier and had no issue paying my bill but she instantly responded with a absolute nasty attitude. I have never experienced anything like this being I work in food service and understand what they go through. The food was ok, but customer service was definitely very poor.

I came March 30 to southern Cafe on Main St When I came in I wasn't greeted the server wasn't responding to our table the cashier had a nasty attitude poor quality poor food service the chicken was still red DHEC shut it down
