The Maine Event Restaurant & Lounge

The food and the service was absolutely amazing! The staff were attentive and very nice. We will definitely make the trip again.

I struggled between a 3.5 and 4 for a few reasons however I am not big on low ratings but full transparency of the experience.
Things I love: Nice Venue/Ambience, good music overhead, Happy hour drink specials, plantains were good,
The salmon and lamb chops were seasoned/glazed and cooked to perfection, portion size was good for price.
Things I didn’t like: The mash potatoes appeared to be boxed mash prepared with water. They were thin and not seasoned at all. Adding salt and pepper at the table did not suffice. The Mac and cheese consistency was amazing but was not seasoned. We did have the seafood dip which had a good flavor and good portion. After placing our order we waited so long for our food. It was less than 10 people in the establishment and it felt like we waited nearly an hour or close for our food. I would give them another chance because they were out of the eggrolls and the meat was prepared well.

The food did not have no seasoning on it. To plain.

Hands down the best restaurant in greenwood South Carolina the people are so friendly and the portions are hide the presentions are beautiful will be ibackin next couple of days and the bartenders are great

Absolutely loved this establishment. Only thing is the waiter couldn't handle the party size I believe.

Lamb chops and sides wer superb. Lamb was very mist and tender to the bone. Rasta pasta I had chicken and oxtails. Delicious. Oxtail fell off the bone. Cant wait to try the night life and salmon sliders

Service and food were fantastic! Reggie, our server, was very attentive and friendly. The cook, Ebony, did a wonderful job. She spiced our food to order and even brought out a free, homemade appetizer. We just moved here and will make The Main Event a regular visit.

Tonight was my 2nd time there and I was disappointed. The 1st time was wonderful. I ordered the Smoked turkey leg stuffed with shrimp Alfredo and it was really good so I go for the 2nd time to get the same thing only to drive home 35 minutes and there is no noodles stuffed in the turkey leg and only 4 shrimp in which I payed an extra 4$ for this. I am so disappointed because I was really waiting to dig in.

They catered our class reunion recently. They were on time, pleasant to work with, and most importantly, the food was off the chain! Delicious is an understatement!!! Can’t say enough good things about them! Highly recommend!

This was an EXCELLENT experience! First time here. They have a customer for life! Marlow was my hostess and she was soooo welcoming. The food was REMARKABLE! Everything made to order and the sensational blends of herbs and spices was unmatched! Thank you "The Main Event"; you made my day!!!

Everything was delicious, from the mixed drinks to the appetizers, to the entree! Marlo’s hospitality and knowledge of the entire menu was beyond measure! We will definitely be back!! ⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️

Going out to eat with two babies is hard! But man, I’m glad I chose to eat here for my bday. We felt very welcome and nobody gave us “looks” when our kids were being, well, kids!! That’s important to me- a good spot that makes you feel welcome. Everybody deserves to dine out sometimes. But really that’s beside the point. The food… COMPLIMENTS to the chef. Just what I was looking for. Collards were top notch. My little boy tore his sliders UP. His face in the pic says it all. Everything was perfect. And don’t come here without ordering that House Lemonade ? yall… I also want to say thank you for the service. So respectful and personal but still giving you your space. We will be back. Thank you?

I went here for the first time Sunday Got the Lamb Chops baked Potato it was Amazing flavor Bursting in my mouth

Wow! What a great place to eat! The food was awesome and the service exceptional. The owner AJ was as friendly as can be, even taking us on a tour of the place. We’ll call this place a hidden treasure in Greenwood SC.

My husband and I attended an event at Maine Event tonight and ate at the restaurant. Oh my goodness the food is so good. It was well seasoned, portions were appropriate for the price and hot. If you’re ever in Greenwood, SC you have to give them a try.
