The fries tasted cheap and the wings were awful. They were so tiny and chewy. The environment gives off funeral home energy. It's so dark and depressing. Also the ceiling is such an eye sore. Two thumbs down overall šŸ‘ŽšŸ¼šŸ‘ŽšŸ¼ I should have known to do a 360⁰ before I even entered the restaurant, due to how sketchy and dingy the building looked. Y'all, I can not make this up. Photos for proof, look at the size of the wing beside a quarter. Needless to say I didn't get to eat dinner. I'll stick with Wingstop where I get my money's worth and can actually eat the dinner I spent $15 on šŸ™ƒ

We love to check out hole in the wall restaurants so this was a must stop on this trip.

I will start with the prices on the menu are not the actual prices. We were charged $2-$3 more per item. After ordering it took 35 minutes to get our drinks. The drink options are very limited (Tea,Lemonade(tasted like pink lemonade kool-aid package), Coke and water). It took over an hour to get our food. Another couple came in 30 minutes after us so they only had 2 tables. The other couple got their food 10 minutes before us.

They no longer have chicken tenders so the only ā€œkids mealā€ they have is grilled cheese.

I ordered the patty melt. I have never been so disappointed in my life. While the toast was good, the patty was less than half the size of the toast. The menu says it comes with mayo and onions however mine had no mayo and was very dry and hard to eat.

My husband got the Philly cheesesteak sandwich, he said it was amazing. 10/10 would recommend.

We got loaded fries as an appetizer however they came out with part of our order. They were fine but barely warm 6/10

They brought out the patty melt and loaded fries an hour after ordering and then 15 minutes later the grilled cheese and Philly came out.

The waitress was constantly on her phone. We had to go to the counter to ask for refills.

Unfortunately it’s not a place I’d recommend.

Food was so good. The loaded fries are soooo beefy, not enough queso. The wings are small but I don’t mind that means they're healthy. Not too expensive about a dollar per wing. Meals do add up quickly, Would definitely go again

If you haven’t been to Local Uptown, you are seriously missing out! This place is an absolute vibe—great food, amazing drinks, and an atmosphere that makes you feel right at home. Whether you’re looking for a fun night out with friends, a casual dinner, or just a place to unwind, Local Uptown delivers every time.

The food is phenomenal. You can tell they put care into everything on the menu—from the perfectly seasoned burgers and crispy wings to the creative appetizers that hit the spot. The portions are generous, and the flavors are on point. Don’t even get me started on the drinks—the bartenders know what they’re doing! Cocktails are strong, well-crafted, and there’s always something new to try.

The staff is super friendly and attentive, and the service is consistently top-notch. The vibe is upbeat without being overwhelming—great music, a clean and stylish space, and just an all-around positive energy.

And if you’re into karaoke, make sure to stop by on Fridays! The karaoke nights are a blast—full of laughs, good vibes, and surprisingly great talent. It’s the perfect way to kick off the weekend.

Stop in to grab a bite to eat . 1st time and atmosphere was great. Really nice place and people. Thought I ordered the Philly Cheese steak but I guess I actually ordered the Chicken Philly . Was a nice surprise. Never had that before. Was awesome. Will be back when in the area as I’m not local.

Small hole in the wall easy to pass by. The parking lot is super small. Philly cheese steak was OK, but far from great, it was like it had too much of some kind of oregano or some type of herb seasoning that was overwhelming. Bacon fries were good but had a little too much ranch dressing to where it made the fries cold. The wife said her burger was good. As far as the atmosphere goes, the music was a little on the loud side, but overall, it was OK. The waitress could've done better as far as the service went. She was slow at getting our drink order and bringing them out.
