A wonderful place to take your loved 14 anniversary or birthday. Food is high quality made fresh and delicious. Best thing is the wednesday night karaoke. All I can say is the chef There knows what he is doing and deserves rase.
Enjoyed the Cajun pasta meal. One to order when in this place.
We went in late night on karaoke night, and were so impressed, we have a biweekly visit planned. This place is the whole vibe! The DJ saw me hovering outside through the window and called me in to sing. From there, the experience just got better the longer we stayed. We were greeted and warmly welcomed by the staff, the patrons, even the owner. We felt so welcome and at home that we wanted to stay! The DJ kept everyone singing and mixed during breaks in singers. The staff was attentive and kind, and the energy was laid back, personal and hella cool. Thank you to everyone there tonight for being so genuine and fun!
We walked in on Valentines day and the hostess didn't know (and seemed upset) that we had a reservation. We were seated at a dirty table and had to ask them to wipe it off. We waited 10mins for someone to ask us what we wanted to drink. We had to ask for a menu 5 mins later when the 2nd waitress asked if we wanted something to drink. When we told her we had already told the other waitress, she didn't believe us. We stayed there 30-40 mins ordered drinks and they never arrived. We ended up leaving when we saw the waitress searching the clean glasses that just came out the back. When we saw her hold them to the light and go through about 6 glasses we decided to just enjoy our valentines day with wingstop and ice cream at home.
The food, service and atmosphere is awesome. Seriously, this place is a gem. We tried 4 different drinks and the we're all amazing. The food was top notch. Kudos to the chef! We had lobster sliders, crawfish egg rolls and crab cakes. Each one was the bomb but especially the crawfish egg rolls. I'm going to crave those. Our bartender, Embrey, was a lot of fun. 5 stars PLUS.
So disappointed in this place. First of all, the website says happy hour is 4-6pm, and they don’t even open until 5. We arrived at 4:40 and were told they were closed. We took a walk until they opened at 5. We were barely greeted by the one staff member working, and then were informed that the kitchen was not open. (15 mins after they opened…) We decided to grab a drink anyways and I was surprised that a place that calls themselves a Wine Bar had their wines labeled as only “Red or White”. (No description like Pinot Noir, Chardonnay Etc.) No water was brought to our table and my wine glass was dirty and had pieces of cork floating in it. Again, super disappointing as this place has potential but they really need to step it up in the hospitality department. Hoping they can get it together as it is a really cool space. If you’re looking to grab some good food and cocktails in Greer, head to Select instead.
This afternoon we walked into the restaurant for happy hour and we were barely greeted. On their website it says happy hour 4-6 but turns out they open at 5 and happy hour is 5-7. We sat down along with another table and the staff was extremely inattentive as well as our table was sticky. Staff was walking around with AirPods in. The table next to us collected their own silverware! After a few minutes we ordered drink after looking over the wine selection which is poorly labeled and I settled with a “new-fashioned” which has some simple syrup in it but it was all syrup and I couldn’t even taste whisky just all sugar. I took about two sips and gave up. The hostess came up and told us there was no kitchen staff! The restaurant has been open for almost an hour already. Again Greer disappoints. Save your money and go to Select.
Food and services were exceptional. Owner is beautiful and has a beautiful soul
Food and drinks are great
I hosted a holiday party at Crate last night with about 30 ladies and it was absolutely PERFECT! I cannot recommend them enough. I had worked with the manager, Serenity, for several weeks during the planning stage and she was incredible. I plan many events as a group coordinator and can tell you, she is extremely easy to work with and excellent in her craft.
Everything from the food, cocktails, service, atmosphere was stellar! We plan to have our holiday party at Crate annually.
Thank you Serenity and team!

I recently visited Crate in Greer, SC, for a date night, and it was an exceptional experience from start to finish! The ambiance was cozy and inviting, making it the perfect spot for an intimate evening out. I ordered the bourbon-glazed salmon, and it was phenomenal—perfectly cooked with a rich, flavorful glaze that was both sweet and savory. The real standout, though, were the collard greens. They were hands-down the best I’ve ever had: tender, well-seasoned, and bursting with flavor. If you’re in the area, Crate is a must-visit, whether you’re a wine enthusiast or just looking for great food. Can’t wait to come back!

My name is Dria of Dria's Southern Cakes. I had the pleasure of eating dinner at the Crate Restaurant and Wine Bar. The food was amazing!! The customer service was fit for a king. I used to feel that I had to make my own collard greens to make it taste like back home in Alabama. Not anymore. This is not my last time. This is the beginning of a beautiful friendship. God bless.
