I am DEEPLY DISAPPOINTED in the resent menu change of the Calabash Fried Fish to Fish and Chips, I drive from Piedmont, SC to Greer, SC just to get my Favorite Meal. I understand the changes are great but why fix something that is no broken. I also Love the French and dipping them in that awesome tarter sauce and now there gone as well. Everything about that meal was great and the portions were amazing. Not sure what we have to do to get Calabash Fish offered on the Menu again but it will be truly missed. Maybe you can offer both on the menu for a few week and let the public decide. Just a thought.FaronVegetarian options: More Vegetarian options would be great for your growing audience

The food here is really good. The service is usually pretty good too. When I went there the AC was out but they had fans all over and the manager was very apologetic and nice. The sweet tea was good, which is rare these days. I grew up in the south and it's hard to find really good sweet tea.The macaroni and cheese shocked me! It was Delicious!!! I even placed another order to take with me. The collard greens were on point too. And there are no words for how good the wings are. I got them with dry rub seasoning.Fyi I've also Doordashed from this place and the food was just as good. I've had the fried fish, shrimp and grits, and ribs and those are all good too.Oh and don't forget the rolls! You'll need more of those to go too. I put them in the air fryer to reheat and they're really good.

We haven’t eaten at Fatz in several years, but I am so glad that we came this evening. The poppy seed rolls, calabash chicken, fries and the Blue Motorcycle were all delicious! The eight piece calabash chicken basket with fries was plenty to split with hubby. Our server, Kia was friendly and efficient. An overall great dining experience.

Where to begin... Let me first say this: Those of you who have followed my musings over the years know that I am generally positive with my reviews. With 87% being 4 or 5 stars and a mere 2% being 1 star, I thinks it's safe to say that I am by no means a cynic. Having said that... tonight's visit was quite awful. Firstly, there was no host(ess) at the podium. After standing around with my hands in my pockets a girl finally came over, but I had already decided to sit at the bar so I helped myself. No one at the bar. Not a soul aside from myself and the bartender. I sat down and she handed me a menu. I got my beer and began to review my options. Normally, my Friday night tradition is steak, so I looked at the steak section and decided on the 10 oz. sirloin. Boy, I wish I hadn't. I ordered it medium, as I always do. When the bread arrived, which was actually the only reason I stopped into Fatz at all, I was met with 3 little rolls which were warm at best, but somehow still brown. Not lightly golden, glistening, hot and fresh as I fondly remembered from past visits. As I sat waiting, jumping back and forth between Suicide Squad on TNT and the Little League World Series which were the two options for some reason, I quickly finished my 3 measly rolls. The bartender wasn't around, and I was almost tempted to start eating the napkins. But I nursed my beer as best I could and glanced around. It was not terribly busy; I don't know that I would even use the word busy at all. It was actually very quiet. A few older folks scattered around. But I also noticed that there were an awful lot of servers sauntering around, and yet for some reason, the bartender was still nowhere to be found. Finally, my food arrived. It was at this moment I realized I did not have a fork; something one would generally receive when sitting down... but the servers had disappeared as quickly as they appeared. I examined my plate. The tater tots looked good. The steak was rather questionable; noticeably overcooked (remember, I ordered it medium) and grill marks that looked like they were drawn on with a crayon. Dry as all hell. Once I was able to get someone's attention I got my fork, and began to eat. Tater tots were as good as they looked. Broccoli wasn't awful, but not extraordinary. Probably microwaved. I would wager the steak was too, to be honest. And finally, the steak. Dry. So dry, which I already knew was the case. I've honestly had better steak at IHOP. But considering how long it took to come out, I didn't even bother trying to mention it, and with everyone busy serving the other 4 customers in the joint, who would I tell anyway? So I committed what I consider to be one of the worst sins imaginable, and squirted some ketchup on my plate so I could power through this abomination. I do not believe in steak sauce, and definitely do not believe in ketchup with steak. A steak, when prepared properly, stands alone. Anyone who *must* have steak sauce is either an 8 year old or a plebeian, and if steak sauce is required, somebody messed up. I may not be an expert on much, but I know steak. Anyway, I choked down my dry, overcooked, ketchup flavored microwaved horse meat and paid, leaving as quickly as possible. I will say that my server was friendly, and were it insanely busy and were they understaffed I wouldn't even give it a second thought. But they were seemingly overstaffed and most definitely not busy so as to justify pulling the bartender away from the bar. I wouldn't say Fatz is bad. I wouldn't even say don't come here. Just don't get the steak. The Easley location closed not that long ago, and I fear that if things aren't drastically improved here, this location might be next. Then it'll just be Gaffney, and I'm not driving all the way up there. I'll give it a few months. If they're still here, I'll give them another chance. Thanks anyway.

Our waiter was slow and we ask to go cup. She didn't bring it to us. She didn't check on us. It's was too hot. The hostess was the nice one. Our waitress was taken others order and she should bring our to go cups first. We should not have tipped but we did. Will not be back. Get better help.

Food was pretty good. The bread Sherri e was phenomenal. We ordered fried pickles which were good and I order a Monte Cristo which was pretty good. Hubby said his meatloaf was pretty good. It was a quiet restaurant, which I love. Service was okay. Our waitress didn’t seem the friendliest, but she brought us refills of our drinks without us asking, so that ma a major plus!

Hey People's!!! Need to tell you about this. Fatz Cafe is a popular American restaurant chain that serves delicious dishes inspired by the flavors of the South. Whether you are looking for a hearty breakfast, a satisfying lunch, or a mouthwatering dinner, Fatz Cafe has something for everyone. You can enjoy their world-famous Calabash chicken, made with fresh chicken tenders that are buttermilk brined for 24 hours, then hand-breaded and lightly fried to perfection. Or you can try their signature salads, burgers, sandwiches, steaks, seafood, and more. Fatz Cafe also offers catering services for any occasion, from weddings to corporate events.

It wasn't that busy, but it took 25-30 minutes to get our food. We did get our drinks and the poppy seed rolls rather quickly. My mom got her salad in about 5 minutes, not bad. She finished her salad & we asked the guy that filled our drinks about our food. He said he would check. 15 minutes go by, so my mom sees the waitress. She asks how long for our food. The waitress said our order got lost. The waitress brings out our food and I swear, they found the smallest sweet potato they had. The food was good but the experience could have been better.

The calabash chicken tenders are amazing. Make sure you order extra to have leftovers because they are amazing cold as well.

We had not been to Fatz in a while. Something has changed. The food and service is still good, but the atmosphere is lacking, the wrong lighting makes it feel like you are eating at the food court of an outlet mall. The drinks were cold, but there were no coasters, so you had puddles on the table where your drinks were sitting, and drips every time you picked up your glass. It's the details that are not getting the attention they deserve.

The bread balls at the beginning is delicious:-). We got the chicken wrap, and the chicken tenders they were real good too. We both had fries with our meals, I'm not a super wedge fries kind of person. Overall a good experience. Would definitely visit again.

Pleasantly surprised! I was hesitant reading other reviews, especially with a large group of 13, but for a Friday night we were seated right away, that alone was nice. Have never been here as we are visiting from out of town so hearing we are getting to try new menu items was interesting. I am the picky eater of the group and was eyeing the bbq pulled pork sandwich, I have ordered this a few times from other restaurants and was disappointed with the meat received. I noticed they had food setup as if to photograph for the menu so I walked over and asked to see the bbq sandwich, the gentleman explained it was his recipe and was very eager that I was excited to see it was what I was looking for. A few moments later the same man came by the table and brought a sample of the meat which was very kind and I absolutely loved it. Sandwich was the best I have had in a long time so will 100% be back when we visit SC again. Restaurant was clean, staff friendly and attentive.

Went here for a birthday dinner with my family to celebrate my daughter's birthday and first off the waitress was very rude and no personality at all never came back to check if we needed anything she definitely needed to get better training. There was hardly anyone in the restaurant (a handful)and after we ordered our food it took 45 minutes to get our plates and then the food was over cooked and one plate of Calabash chicken breast was served burnt. The ambiance was nonexistent and I would have expected the staff would have at least came out and acknowledged the birthday. Had to go to the hostess to get a manager and he did take a little off my bill (not enough in my opinion) I have never been to a Fatz restaurant before and received this type of service and food. I would give negative stars if I could have. DO NOT waste your hard earned money at this establishment. It is not the Fatz of the past.

We went Mother’s Day at 3 pm. Was told wait of 40 min. We knew it was a holiday and they were probably short staffed. Our wait was over one hour but we got seated and gave our orders. 30 min later the guy from grill came out and said the waitress failed to submit our order and he would take care of it. It took one hour to get our food. When our bill arrived they changed price of one of our plates by $5 more. We got a menu and pointed it out to waitress and she said that’s because we got an older menu and new price was what we were charged. We said nope this is price on menu y’all gave us and this is what we expect the price to be. They did correct the price but we weren’t offered any discount for hour wait at our table after ordering due to waitress mistake. Food was ok but with service woes you have to be prepared for wait to be seated. What you shouldn’t deal with is failure to submit orders or hiking price up above menu prices.

I ate there last Sunday. I had the ribs and steak .Also ordered the Swai fish. It was excellent. I went there again Saturday night and had the Blue Ridge chicken and my mom ordered the same thing. My loaded baked potato was excellent and my mom liked her baked sweet potato but we were both very disappointed in the chicken breast in our Blue Ridge chicken. It was very dry and not very good. I would have given 5 stars if they had good juicy chicken breast which is normally good anywhere that you go The toppings on it were good. The waitresses were nice and gave good fast service both times. I will be back but won't be ordering anymore Blue Ridge chicken.
