Stopped and got some of the best sausage we have ever had….great filets too ….

This butcher shop is fantastic. I met Kevin who is polite and friendly. Some of the best customer service I have ever experienced and now I plan on being a lifelong customer. If you're wondering if you should come here, well you should. The shop is very clean and sanitary. The prices are what I expect to pay for a local butcher and comparable to supermarkets. The only thing I'm disappointed about is not coming here sooner.

So glad I found this location! I've visited Newberry location in the past and missed it since I moved to Greer. Best Butcher shop around! I Love the onion sausage!

Excellent service. Their homemade sausage is excellent. Will be back for some sirloin steak !

We just relocated to Prosperity by Lake Murray and learned of Hillside. We got up early on Saturday morning and there was a line waiting for them to open. We bought right at 30# ground beef at $2.99 a pound as it was on sale. And we grilled burgers and my husband said WOW REAL BEEF! Its so nice to have a butcher in town and a Christian to ice the cake. We will be buying our meats and other goods they carry from them from now on!! This is the Newberry location. I give them 10 stars!!!!

"BEST MEAT I HAVE EVER PUT IN MY MOUTH AND THE CRAB CAKES, HOLY SHAMOLY"-DadWe wanted to do something special for my father in law's birthday. He is a big Foodie person and they love cooking in their retirement . We heard good things about Hillside Sausage and Butcher Shop, but it is 45 minutes away from where he lives. We called Hillside and gave our credit card number and amount of the gift. Kevin, the manager, assured us my in laws would be in good hands. I have never heard my father in law rave more about anything EVER. He said Hillside Sausage and Butcher Shop is more a destination than a food shopping tour. Conservative exterior with an old fashioned, hands on customer service and interior feel. Kevin even let him know the right time to come in, after their fresh mostly crab meat, crab cakes would be ready from the oven. To hear through the family grapevine as well how much he loves their produce and what a fabulous gift it was, really makes us happy. We live in Charleston, so looks like we may have a destination drive ahead of us as well. Quality, Care, Diversity, and Communications....where do we get that anymore?

Our friend has been telling us what a terrific place this is; however, it was a ways from us. So, he said "listen, I'd be happy to get whatever you desire and we'll meet somewhere." So, I called the Hillside Sausage & Butcher Shop and the owner was so very knowledgeable and nice! We fixed short ribs tonight on the Green Egg at 225 degrees for 5-hours. YUM!!

WOW! Awesome place to shop for whatever meats you need, as well as other stuff like the best homemade pimiento cheese, jambala etc. This spot was a treasure to find. Kevin makes Sausage to die for. And just about the nicest, most helpful people you could ever hope to meet. Always clean and I never, ever feel rushed.

Top notch! I stopped by for the first time to get some steaks for July 4th. The interior of the shop was very clean, there was a good assortment of meats and they had fresh vegetables, cut fruit, sauces and other items. The most impressive thing was their friendly service. Everyone who came out to the front of the shop said hello to me and made me feel welcomed. IMO, service is just as important as the product and this is a rule Hillside lives by! I bought two thick ribeyes and they were very tender and flavorful. So happy I stopped by!

Fabulous meats....great prices....2nd time I have visited and have told many people about this place. Stuffed mushrooms, beautiful salmon, watermelon is delicious, chicken salad is fab and everything is neat and clean...great customer service as well......

I Absolutely Love the meats, sides and sauces there. The vegetables & fruits are fresh, and the service is always Wonderful!!!
