Absolutely wonderful. My partner and I went with my brother and sister in law-and it was amazing! Such a great dining experience and service was phenomenal

the food is delicious, atmosphere is so pleasant and relaxing. and the chef and staff are so attentive. We had a celebration there this evening and loved every moment of it, from starters all the way to desserts. you can't go wrong.

Excellent dinner with well curated wines. The chef / owner was SO KIND and came out to introduce himself, check on our meals. Our server was also helpful, present, but not rushing or hovering. Definitely the nicest dining experience in the area.

I can’t say enough positive things about our first visit to House 509. Chef G and his wife accommodated our family and our special needs son, and as delicious as the food was, this spoke volumes above anything else that could have happened. The best filet mignon I’ve ever had - and the wine flight pairing was breathtaking. Thank you, thank you for the amazing food, service, and for your kindness. We can’t wait to visit again. The creme brûlée cheesecake with the churro topping was to die for. We are still raving about our entire experience weeks later!

Everything was absolutely delicious. I would love to go back every week, but this type of restaurant/experience is more like a couple times a year for us. The entree flight is a fun idea giving lots of tastes and leaving you satisfied. An intimate setting with great service adds a little something more to the meal.

We went here before Prom and the servers went above and beyond to make the experience perfect for us. They were very accommodating and friendly and the food was incredible

Such a distinctive experience. They bring an entirely different way of dining out and make their meals a truly memorable experience. The ambiance is great, the service is stellar, and the food is amazing. I absolutely loved the option to savor a flight of three different small entrees paired with my choice of three complementary wines. Some folks might find the experience pricey, but it is absolutely worth it.

**Update** Within hours of posting this review I was contacted directly by the Chef/Owner! He explained to me that he was not at the restaurant the night of our experience and was very sorry for the way it went. He listened carefully as I explained the details of our experience. He also offered a full refund and asked for a chance to do better. Very impressive! I completely understand as a business owner myself the challenges of leaving someone else in charge. The fact that we were heard and understood means a lot! We will visit again.

Incredibly underwhelming! Chose this restaurant based on the 4.8 stars on google. Maybe it was an off night? But there were so many things that I feel I need to mention! Tables are small and close together. Lights were bright and music was loud. Not what you’d expect for a fine dining experience. Our server had to return to the kitchen at least three times to get answers to our questions about the food which should have been a clue. As well as the fact that it was 6:45 on a Friday and there were only 4 tables seated.

Several key menu items were not available. I had the shrimp and grits flight which was quite bland and lacked flavors that popped. They were served only slightly warm and a few bites in everything was cold. Our server didn’t check back with us for at least 30 minutes to see how our entrees were. When I told her mine was cold she said sorry and later offered a free dessert. My wife had mahi on her flight that was completely overcooked and dry. A friend had a filet that was equally overcooked.

The desserts were good even though the three crème brûlées on the flight all tasted the same.

We and our friends enjoy fine dining and have been to many places around Greenville and beyond. Never have we paid more as much for so little! With tip, our bill was over $400.😞 Very disappointing overall.

Delicious food and dessert! Started with Lobster Bisque. Everyone enjoyed their entree flight with wine flight. We ended with the creme brulee flight...everything was delicious! Enjoyed meeting the owner/chef who checks in with you. Looking forward to trying other options and attending events!

47th anniversary. No pictures of the food because I was too busy eating it! The chef is wonderful, waitress great, food amazing!
