We were driving through Greer and lucked up on Cafe on Trade. So glad we did. The food and service were amazing. The owner came out and let us sample their gravy and homemade cookies and oh my!! So delicious. I highly recommend Cafe On Trade. It does not disappoint.

Love this place. Had lunch here 10/29/24, our first time and we couldn’t be happier with food and service. The Rueben had the perfect ratio of tender corned beef, sauerkraut, cheese and thousand island dressing on grilled rye - it was great! The soup of the day, chicken with rice was excellent, big pieces of chicken, carrot, rice seasoned perfectly in a delicious broth. To top off the wonderful experience, the owner dropped off a sample of their grits and a sample of their sausage gravy, both were A+, then sat at the table to speak with us. That type of hospitality has become rare and was super pleasant. The Cafe is inside one of Greer’s historical buildings on Trade Street that also houses a boutique. What a unique atmosphere. Follow the “rules” and enjoy a delicious, leisurely lunch. Highly recommend

Southern hospitality at its finest. I am here visiting from Atlanta and came across this place. The staff is welcoming and attentive. I tried sausage gravy for the 1st time in 35 years and it did not disappoint. What better way to start the day than a little chocolate chip cookie ❤️ Thank you to the staff for making my first time here a memorable one.

This was my wife and me 1st visit(by luck) to this place. A little surprised from the setting but pleasantly surprised. Found a table and started looking at the menu. After about 15mins and our order already placed the owner stopped and sat at our table and asked us if it was our first time and we said yes. He asked me if I liked Grits and I told him NO and that I had only tested it before(half of teaspoon only) and it wasn't of my liking. He left and and came back with a sample of sausage grave and his Grits. I tried it and I had never being so please and pleasantly surprised how good it was. Both of the samples were awesome. I was sold on his Grits after my first spoon. My wife and me can't wait to make our next visit to this awesome place. Thank u for the great food and wonderful service. See u soon.

Absolutely fantastic. I adored the atmosphere here. It was unique and quiet, but the lovely staff were kind and lively. Being our first time, one of the staff (Eddie) brought us some samples of their grits, sausage gravy, and chocolate chip cookies. They were amazing. The gravy went wonderfully with the grits (and I dont even like grits), and the cookie was perfect.

We ordered the Ruben, Philly Cheesesteak, pasta salad, potato salad, a half order of the chicken and cranberries salad to share, as well as a tomato basil quiche.

Everything was amazing. And truly homemade! It was Fun and exciting trying new dishes! Their flavors were interesting and earthy, which I truly enjoyed. And healthier than some other places.

Just don't forget the rule! This place makes everything to order, so don't come here if you're in a rush. Let them take their time preparing the meal, and you won't soon forget it. I will be returning with my family in tow, for another wonderful lunch.

I can’t rave enough about this place! From their delicious Gravy Biscuits to the creamy Cheese Grits, and let’s not forget the absolute star—those chocolate chip cookies! 🍪 Mr. & Mrs. King are such wonderful people, and it shows in everything they do. Highly recommend!

THIS IS THE VERY BEST HOMESTYLE COOKING IN THE SOUTH. I am from out of town and my husband is working here. Every time I come back we will be back here!!! Food is beyond amazing I want to take the cook/chef home. The chocolate chip cookies are awesome. The omelets are out of this world. Go here as much as you can. Amazing.

Stopped in (for the first time) today for lunch. Owner (?) knew it was our first time, so he gave us a sample of grits, gravy, and chocolate chip cookies (Thank You)
My wife and I both had the cheese steak sandwich. Excellent sandwich which also came with a warmed vinegar/beef dip.

Great little breakfast place. Try the omelets. Really good and the grits! The server was good, owners were friendly. Nice change. Don't expect it to be fast, it's not, so go when you have time to browse the boutiques while you wait or just have some time. Get a cookie before leaving, fabulous!

Closed for over a week with no online notice or anything that is to be expected with a modern restaurant.

Closed June 30 to July 8 for anyone thinking of going in that time period.
