This isn't typically my kind of place. I've only been here twice, and both times were to go orders and because we were visiting mom and dad. The food is just okay. There's a reason it's so inexpensive. I went in to pick up our order, and the atmosphere inside just seemed depressing. Definitely can use an upgrade. Very old school. But the staff is super friendly and on point in making sure they take care of you. You can tell they genuinely care about their customers.
I waited for about twenty minutes but it was definitely worth it when I got my food.. I only wish I would of asked for some cornbread before the line got long. Next time :).

Dietary restrictions: Had beef stew with carrots and potatoes, and Mac and cheese. Nothing was spicy or greasy it did not bother my stomach. Peach cobbler was just the right serving. Loved it all. Took cheeseburger plate home to husband, he enjoyed.

Well its been a while since my wife an I have been at South House and we decided we would like to go back today. I must say that they do not cut corners when making the plates.. I've got a picture of my plate and another one of the wife's plate. Honestly if you enjoy fish don't hesitate about checking this spot out. You will not regret it. Wear loose fitting clothes in but you'll need to let them out to go home. GOD BLESS
