We don't often have Mexican and had not found a good Mexican restaurant in the Upstate, but on whim stopped at Guacamole. This restaurant provided good service, with reasonable dispatch, and generally very tasty food. The fresh guacamole made at the table was very satisfying. There is a considerable variety of dishes, and we found the Trio Tacos good, and particularly the chicken taco. The only real negative was that we found the black bean sides not so good. The cost was very reasonable. We will return.

Excellent tamales with verde sauce. Good chips and bean dip. Nice salsa bar. Simple but clean and pleasant dining room. Good service.

Maybe we ordered the wrong things, but I wasn't impressed. Nachos were soupy. Mexican rice was more like Asian rice. Beans were in everything. Where was the salsa? Someone has put some work into the decor. It was nice. Place is always busy, but they really need more parking. Very hard to get in and out of.

No, just no. We went here on a friend’s recommendation that they had the best margaritas & tacos- THEY LIED!!! Not only did that margarita not have any shelf tequila, I think it had bucket under the sink tequila. GRILLED chicken nachos that has Smoked chicken (SO DRY)…$60 for nausea and we left our entire order behind.

I believe the gourmet taco fad + casual bar scene + local brand hype has allowed the Tipsy Taco to expand their footprint in the Greenville area. I know several people who consider it one of their go-to joints, but after several visits now I believe I have done enough research to conclude it just doesn't interest me. It seems like one of those places that people believe is more amazing than it is because they don't really stop to evaluate what they are getting compared to all the other options. Sure I love Mexican food, I love tacos, and I enjoy a place that can put a unique twist on a meal; but fitting into those categories doesn't automatically imply that the product is a success. My impression is not completely focused on one particular aspect, either: the quality of the food, flavor of the food, food portions, presentation, guest experience and service, and the value of all those aspects in relationship to the cost all play a factor in my impression. The net result = I am underwhelmed. None of those things are horribly wrong here, but no single one of them is well done either. There are just too many other places I'd prefer to eat, for me to consider what Tipsy Taco is doing an appealing dining out option.

$$$ - We ordered online from the house & picked up our order. We'd ordered tortilla soup which didn't specify "cup" or "bowl" online. Turns out it was a teeny Styrofoam container & it cost $6 DOLLARS!! Unreal. Everything there is a la carte & is so much money & it's not even worth it due to the bland flavor. Never again.

My wife likes Tipsy Taco but I am not a huge fan. But I do have to say everything worked on this visit. Service was good. Food came fairly quickly. Was good food. And if you get their fajitas, there will be plenty to take home.
Flavorful food, fun atmosphere, and good prices. They have a salsa bar, and can make the guac at your table. Food is above average. Good portions. Just go.

Today, 12-5-2020, was the first time we have been to Tipsy Taco and it will be the LAST!!! We visited the Greer, SC , location. We were seated quickly (the only reason for the 1 star!). As we were being shown to our table, I noticed all their sauces, a salt shaker, a pepper shaker & several sets of silverware were already on every table in a metal tub. It took forever for anyone to acknowledge we were there. No, they were not busy. Once the server took our order, I watched as 3 tables were cleared & cleaned. Not ONCE did they wipe the sauce bottles, salt shaker, pepper shaker or the metal tub they were all sitting in. I asked the people at the front if that was normal ...... they said it was the job of the server at the end of their shift. The manager came to our table towards the end of our meal ......... she said that they sanitize those items ABOUT every 2 hours. Sorry, but in this day & age, why do you leave those items on the table to begin with? The caps on the bottles looked dirty & since I had no idea WHO touched them before we were seated ..... it totally grossed me out. The food was OK - nothing special ..... we will not eat there again.

We have visited this location a number of times. It is not the same. Hostess was rude when our group entered concerning masks. Instead of offering one, she was more concerned with enforcing mandates. Embarrassing for us. That just put a damper on the entire evening. Keep driving to El Matador for great food where you are appreciated.

Went to the Greenville, Woodruff store when it first opened & everything was great! I had the Filet quesadilla and it was awesome. My wife's tacos were good and they drinks were very good. Today, I ordered a filet taco and it was basically dark shaved meat, so overdone and almost to the point of being ground; I guess it was shaved....kind of like they used a blender. It was nothing but a flour tortilla and a handful of mush. Not even a leaf of lettuce, no Pico de Gallo, nothing. My wife's taco salad's tortilla was mushy due to the lettuce not being drained well enough. Also ordered jalapeno poppers and there were two japenos cut in half, prepared like potato skins with goat cheese and bacon bit.....on a popper??! They were awful. The bathroom floor was slippery with grease because the water was not changed after mopping the kitchen floor. I have managed restaurants and this was BAD. Waitresses sitting around looking at their phones. (I learned if you have time to lean, you have time to clean). You are going down if you do not review your menu and your management.
