Our server was very sarcastic and there was barely anything on our plates, place is way too over priced for the amount of food that you receive

Had to wait almost an hour for our food which all we got were burgers. Never got our appetizer that we ordered. But the karaoke was a good time.

Arrive and no hostess was at the front. Waited to be told we can sit anywhere. We grab one & for maybe five min was ignored. An hour sitting here and nothing but water. We ordered and we know it’s made to order, but this is ridiculous. They need help.

The chicken and waffles come with waffle fries not actual waffles. But other than that good food.

The Mason Jar always come through! Granted we are there once or twice a week, we needed to get out yesterday and find a place to do some with our internet out. Thank you, co-owner Heather, for letting us set up shop by the windows where we enjoyed a light lunch and a couple of rounds. We have NEVER had a bad time, meal, or experience, and while we appreciate the whole team, we love co-owner Eddie, bartender Danielle, Amanda, sweet Lilah, and Jen. You will, too! Thanks for being there for us, TMJ! You’re a big reason why we wouldn’t want to call any place other than DT Greer our home.

Planning a trip to Greer. After reading reviews I was hopeful, until I read the owner’s responses to service feedback. Instead of making things right, he seems aggressive and angry. Not great attributes for someone in the service industry.
Luckily there will be plenty of other choices in downtown Greer when I get there.

***Disclaimer: I understand that we’re experiencing a very difficult time right now, but I had a terrible experience at this restaurant earlier today!***
Let me begin by saying I’m walking down Trade St. to find a warm meal to feed my family. I see a man with 2 full bags of food leaving The Mason Jar, so I thought I would give it a try. I entered and the young lady at the front was actually really nice. I asked if they’d do carry-out, and she said yes, there’s about a 15 minute wait, but they can help me out at the bar. So, I go to the bar and wait a few minutes before the woman at the bar asks what will I be drinking. I proceeded by asking if I could order food to go. She then told me that they could NOT, because they had to make sure everyone seated got their food. I was polite and said okay and then left to go to a much better and nicer restaurant: La Joya. I want you to understand that I am very patient and willing to wait. I was going to give a generous tip as well. So, if that’s how you want to run a business, so be it, because technically my ass was seated at your restaurant. A better approach would have been to say that maybe there’s an even longer wait period, or to even see what I wanted to order in the first place!?
Edit: response to the owner’s snarky reply:
I would have appreciated you all if you had better communication, less attitude from the bar, and was willing to feed a family in your community, but instead you chose not to.

The food and drinks were delicious and our waitress (she was from California) was super friendly and gave us some tips on where to go in Greenville.

They’ve been packed since the hurricane. They still have power and they are doing a great job serving the community. Affordable pricing.
