Went for solo lunch. Had the fried pork chops, collard greens, and a small salad. The meal was a meT and three... Only ordered the 2 sides and was up charged $5 for the salad. The blue cheese dressing for the salad was very sweet. Pork chops and collards were excellent. Service was ok, but only had had 1 person on the floor. Bill was just under $30 for lunch before the tip with an iced tea.

My family and I were visiting town this past weekend from Alabama, searching for a good home-cooked meal at a reasonable price—and we found Nigel’s. The atmosphere was laid-back and welcoming, and the food was prepared with love, just like Grandma and the aunties make for family gatherings.

A special thank you to the cook and the restaurant manager for such a savory, delicious, and delightful experience!

We drove from Virginia just to eat there so that will tell you how good the food is!!

Have enjoyed the good food here several times! Delicious fried chicken, collard greens, mac n cheese, fried whiting, geechi wings and more… would love to see a fun happy hour menu and brunch menu added, along with basic wine/prosecco and local beers…add a few more small plates(fun devilled eggs, fried oysters, pimento cheese, oxtail sliders?)…it’d be easy to spend lots of time on your lil patio!

Wonderful experience. I come pretty often and always get great service, and wonderful food. I typically sit at the bar, Autumn is a new bartender but she’s taken great care of me since we’ve met. They do a great job of being consistent and making you feel at home. I visit frequently and they have yet to fail me

Amazing as always!

The food at Nigel's Restaurant Hanahan is delicious. My wife and I eat there regularly. We have ate numerous items on the menu, the fried chicken, fried pork chop, hamburger steak, country fried steak, stew chicken, hamburger s,chicken sandwich, chicken wings, and shrimp n gritsthe chicken all are fabulous, plus their sides.
Friendly atmosphere and the people that works there are great and a great place to have a meal. We will continue dining at great establishment.

We had a total of 7 people that came in. Each person order something different and each plate had something that was either undercooked, overcooked or completely inedible. The gravy was bland. The rice was crunchy it tasted like you were eating rice grains straight from the bag. They continued to bring me the wrong plate of food over after I told them 3 times I did not order it. The potato salad didn’t look like anything we ever seen. The mac and cheese was dry. The cornbread was dry and had no taste whatsoever to it. There was a waitress that kept openly cough over everything. Our tickets were mixed up. And the there was no acknowledgement of their wrong doing or unprofessionalism. It was the worse experience we’ve had.

I enjoy wine with my meal. Wine is hit or miss there. Today not only did they not have wine, it was too cold to sit in there to wait for food. SMH don't understand.
