Random find while traveling I-95. Amazing food and we were pleasantly surprised. The food was fantastic and well seasoned. If you like something authentic I recommend the lengua and cabesca tacos. Won’t regret the stop. Also they have a little market for road trip snacks.
If you ever are in the little town of Hardeeville and you’re a fan of authentic Mexican cuisine, you must stop and dine at this restaurant. I lived on the West Coast for many decades. This is the finest Mexican restaurant I have found on the East Coast in many decades since. We were the only gringos in the restaurant, delightful and delicious.
We were traveling and eating out with Celiac disease is not easy. I was searching for something that would not take too long but was tried and true. Find me gluten free pulled up Los Cuates as an excellent choice.

I ordered the fajitas with the homemade corn tortillas and because I don’t like beans, I got a double side of rice. It came out on a sizzling skillet and was absolutely delicious. The salsa is slightly spicy with fantastic flavor....
