While I have been a big fan of Tropical Smoothie Cafe for a bit now, my last visit to the Hardeeville drive up was anything but smooth. I placed my order around 1 in the afternoon for a smoothie, was told to drive up to the window, sat at the window for approx. 15+ minutes while I watched 4 customers inside the shop place their orders and leave while I was still sitting there at the window. Love this place but 3 times now I've had the smoothie lid pop off the cup and the Styrofoam cup crack in half. Nothing but me picking it up from my cup holder to take a sip, or in the last case, getting it from the drive through and going to set it in the cup holder.Last time it exploded all over me, my car and my purse. We ordered two chicken bacon ranch sandwiches and two smoothies (blueberry bliss and blimey limey). The service could have been better. I had a coupon for a free smoothie, and it wasn't honored. The manager advised me to "save it for next time " when it was set to expire the next day. He didn't want to cancel my order to process it correctly, which was disappointing. It was my first time visiting the location on my vacation, and it wasn't good.
